Forget the men’s room and the women’s room – gender will no longer matter when using single-stall public bathrooms in California.
Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday signed legislation that will require restrooms for single users to be designated all-gender, California’s latest move to bolster transgender rights even as much of the country moves in the opposite direction.

The Ladies' room is always cleaner. Not a little cleaner, significantly, memorably cleaner. The guys" room was typically icky.
Women and girls are the big losers in this foolish bargain.

Well .. I guess I have to continue to order what I need on-line .. and only go to a store for necessities.
However, I will make sure I do not have to use a restroom anywhere, in any store.

Perfect. If you’d rather pee with others of your same sex than poop in private, there’s something wrong with you. This solves all problems and is more space and maintenance efficient.
Those single, dual gender bathrooms in bars are a disaster for women. The drunks go in there and pee all over the toilet seat and the floor because there are no urinals in them.

My wife hates the Trader Joe style. She sees the pee all over the toilet. This is really disgraceful for women.

Sounds like a reasonable accommodation, until the exhibitionist community starts crying discrimination.
I’m really going to use a br with a urinal present....I’ve been told stories about how smelly, dirty, stained these things get and that many men do not even wash their hands...

Middle America’s solution is simple... don’t shop at the offending stores. Seriously - put them out of business..
The key is “single-use” restrooms — only one person at a time. Many doctors’ offices have single-use restrooms, where only one person can go in at a time. This is not a big deal.
