Donald Trump Now Says First Debate Was ‘Rigged'
tv Newser ^ | Sep. 29, 2016 - 4:09 PM | Mark Joyella

In a speech Thursday afternoon, Donald Trump called the first presidential debate with Hillary Clinton “rigged,” and seemed to place much of the blame on the moderator, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.

“Then I had to put up with the anchor, and fight the anchor all the time on everything I said,” Trump said. “What a rigged deal.”

The comments represent a shift from the morning after the debate, when Trump told Fox and Friends “I thought Lester was really good for the half … I thought he was fine. Nothing outstanding. He gave me very unfair questions at the end, last three or four questions. I’m not complaining.”

These are not debates.
I wish they would have questions that each candidate are asked with a specified time to respond. The same questions. Ask how they will deal with the economy, various foreign issues, unemployment, illegals (they are not immigrants), terrorism and so on.The candidates decide how much time to use on the initial response and rebuttal. Coin toss to determine who receives the first question first.
If they want to ask personal questions, then have those in a forum not pretend it is a debate.
Get a debate coach/moderator from a podunk high school to moderate.

We freepers knew as it went down that he was getting gillooly’d. Since when did New Yorkers become naive?

Gillooly: To kneecap someone, as Jeff Gillooly and Tanya Harding conspired to do to Nancy Kerrigan. Particularly appropriate in a competitive context.

Trump’s team has got to act to keep it from happening again or it will happen again. These `rats and their MSM are ruthless, amoral and lawless, and they will keep coming.

Next up: Anderson Pooper and Martha Rattatz, both large, lefty wharf rats. (Didja hear: Mo Lester was a Republican?)

I didn't count, but I think there were maybe 5-6 different doing things with the podiums before and after the debate. The Cleaner had multiple shots at it, too.

Trump had NONE. There was a guy at the end who came out and picked up a piece of paper near Trump's podium. Probably something hillary's people dropped. I think the guy crumpled it.

I’m sure he’s seen the same videos of the signaling and the Cleaner Man that we have.

Has the Debate Commission seen the videos? What are their plans?

Exactly. They should go into these things knowing they’re not going to be fair and ready to Slay the moderator and person they’re debating. That they don’t is surprising to me.

Another cheat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEHPrYUcoi0

Watch the beginning of the debate when the candidates are walking out. Hellary’s “light” is magically turned on at 1:37 but there’s no light at Trump’s. There is still nothing on at Trump’s at 2:17 but there it is on Hellary’s. Someone should check the wiring under the carpet.

I watched off and on for about 50 minutes while trying to post on a sluggish FR.

One thing I noticed was Holt frequently interrupting Trump and trying to change the subject. I do not recall him doing the same to Clinton.

Then, of course, was the obvious Clinton alway glancing down at her lecturn while ‘responding’ to questions.

Trump needs to go into the next debate with his own agenda and present his case, regardless of the questions the mods throw at him.

Whining.

“It was rigged!”

Your answers weren’t rigged, Trump. You had many opportunities. You have no one to blame but yourself that you wound up losing a split decision, or - at best - getting a draw.

It’s really not that hard. He could learn to do it but it takes practice. Block and deflect. Every question Holt asked him the other night could have been blocked and then deflected onto Clinton.
Knowing the debates aren’t fair he should learn to do it.

Trump played by the rules. HILLARY couldn’t do that. She had to cheat.

Trump CLEARLY won, as the more people see HilLIARy the less most of them like her

Whether the debate was rigged (as it was, with the leftist moderation and apparently HilLIARy’s secret prompting gear)....... doesn’t matter, Trump still won votes!!!

i think he did what he needed to do....what he would naturally have done anyway...show he is a bright and basically well-balanced human being. I think he should decline any further debates now and just give speeches and go listen to, rap with voters

I think that box inside the podium was a special relay receiver/transmitter designed to defeat jamming attempts. If the channel they were using detected interference, it would automatically shift to another channel. Only a broad-band jamming device would have been able to knock out the signal. Then other things like wiFi and the wireless mics would have stopped working. People would look for the source of the interference and that would be trouble.
