Do you know what the real purpose of NBC's Saturday Night Live is? If you thought comedy, you would be wrong according to Politico. No, the main purpose of SNL is to act in a completely partisan manner in order to TAKE DOWN TRUMP. Got that?
As Politico on Thursday makes clear, Saturday Night Live will be going after Donald Trump leading into the election starting with this weekend's episode. To make sure of this, politically unhinged Alec Baldwin will be portraying Trump. Perhaps Darrell Hammond is not partisan enough and plays it for that old fashioned thing called laughs. Thankfully, Hulu has all of the original seasons. Not much funnier, but quirky.
In watching old SNL shows from the early seasons, it strikes me, too, that it really wasn’t all that funny. Just surprising and odd at the time.
No, Trump supports cannot be swayed by SNL.
But the blonde who plays Hillary on SNL and was in Ghostbusters was pretty funny.
They certainly think a lot of themselves. But then again, they are the only ones.
How this show is liking along beats me.

This is actually quite hilarious. They aren’t even hiding what they are trying do anymore, and by not hiding it they are defeating themselves because it drives more people to Trump.
Why not - the average person in this country has the emotional age of the average ninth grader - what better vehicle than SNL for them to develop their political opinions from....
haven’t watched snl in a while, but did snl even do a skit involving Clinton’s falling on 911 ceremony? Did they do a skit involving the cleaner guy and the oled screen that was feeding clinton info during debate?
This election is all about this very issue and the number of media celebrities who seem to realize it can be told on one hand. Feel the rage.
There have been a few exceptions: Johnny Carson comes to mind. He did political humor but whacked by sides pretty equally. SNL has been a joke on itself for decades. I guess there are still a few people dumb enough to watch it.
Have you seen recent photos of Harry Reid and Woody Allen? Wish I could post photos - they look identical.
Woody could portray Reid so well in an SNL skit, but he probably shares Reid’s socialist ideology and would not poke fun.

SNL has been an arm of the DNC for many years. All the late-night comedy shows are simply DNC shills.

We have not watched it in YEARS. It stinketh.
They have no influence anymore.
It might matter, if anyone still watched SNL. Many great young comedians got their start there, but I can’t think of any in the last ten, maybe fifteen years.
Trump will do SNL.
