I don't think anybody would mistake a Juggalo for a clown. As for copy cats...big shoes to fill, for sure.

If one were to listen to some of the ICP lyrics....one song in particular about vigilante justice on child molesters, wow.

If I see any damned clowns, they’ll sure rather be wishing they’d become riggers instead.

“one of these idiots is going to get shot and I’m going to laugh until I cry.”

GMTA

Sightings of scary clowns will take a sudden nosedive the first time one of these idjits gets shot dead.

If any clowns come to my part of rural Texas someone will play “Cowboys and Clowns” for sure.

How stupid are these people to act threatening to someone when there are literally millions of CCW’s walking around?

Really stupid.

And when one of the little shoe scrapings gets shot we are going to have to deal with their parental units on TV wailing how they was good kids and it was just a prank.

And the victim will have to hire a lawyer because sure as Hillary lies they will be sued and probably charged.

I think a lot of these “sightings” are publicity stunts. There’s a new version of Stephen King’s “It” coming out shortly.

While there may have initially been a few pranksters or possibly even a few creeps walking around in scary clown costumes, perhaps as a prank, or as a publicity stunt or just to creep people out (or worse), I believe it has now reached peak viral mode and likely now crossing over into mass hysteria territory.

Personally I think that some are reporting and claiming to have seen these clowns without ever having actually seen one or that some people now think it’s cool to go around dressed like a scary clown because, well you know, it’s sort of “cool” to some people to be part of something, either as a participant or a witness. Does anyone remember the “Crop Circle” hysteria of some years ago for example? The more press the first crop circles got, the more people decided to get in on the prank. Soon there were crop circles everywhere.

There is also a segment of the population who are very susceptible to power of suggestion. These are the type of people who see airplane lights and are convinced that what they saw was a UFO or who see someone, perhaps a hunter, or a bear walking in the woods who are convinced that they saw Big Foot.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/09/28/what-we-know-creepy-clown-reports-across-nation/91171858/

I did have a bit of a laugh the other day as I was getting gas at the Rutter’s here in PA near my apartment.

There was an SUV at the pump next to me with advertising on it – advertising for this person’s business - a business providing a variety of costumed characters for parties, mostly it would seem, or so I would hope, for children’s parties.

The signs on the vehicle said something along the lines of “We can come to your child’s party dressed as clowns, cartoon characters, movie and comic book superhero’s, “Minions”, Star Wars characters, Princesses (presumably cheap knock off Disney Princesses). We also do face painting and balloon animals and magic shows…

But on their advert, either they or someone else had crossed off “clowns” with a magic marker. LOL!

FWIW, I’ve always found clowns, mimes and ventriloquist more than a bit creepy, not to mention monkeys – flying monkeys... damn the Wizard Of Oz for making me afraid of monkeys and also of tornados.

And then there was “IT”. If Pennywise didn’t make me creeped out by clowns already, nothing would.
