President Barack Obamas drive to hand off control of Internet domains to a foreign multi-national operation will give some very unpleasant regimes equal say over the future of online speech and commerce. In fact, they are likely to have much more influence than America, because they will collectively push hard for a more tightly controlled Internet, and they are known for aggressively using political and economic pressure to get what they want.

Open revolt is right around the corner. Those who do not learn from. History are doomed to repeat it.
That is if Mr. Trump does not win.
Gonna need a separate interwebs. F them.
Obama, Kerry, Clinton. Traitors all.
Democrats and Obama passed Net Neutrality to pave the way for this UN takeover of the Internet. Obama is giving away internet control to the UN. It will mean censorship and taxing of U.S. internet customers by foreign countries :

State AGs sue to stop Obama’s internet transition

Four Republican state attorneys general are suing to stop the Obama administration from transferring oversight of the internet to an international body, arguing the transition would violate the U.S. Constitution.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday in a Texas federal court threatens to throw up a new roadblock to one of the White Houses top tech priorities, just days before the scheduled Oct. 1 transfer of the internets address system is set to take place.
In their lawsuit, the attorneys general for Arizona, Oklahoma, Nevada and Texas contend that the transition, lacking congressional approval, amounts to an illegal giveaway of U.S. government property. They also express fear that the proposed new steward of the system, a nonprofit known as ICANN, would be so unchecked that it could effectively enable or prohibit speech on the Internet.
The four states also contend that ICANN could revoke the U.S. governments exclusive use of .gov and .mil, the domains used by states, federal agencies and the U.S. military for their websites. And the four attorneys general argue that ICANNs current practices often foster a lack of transparency that, in turn, allows illegal activity to occur.
The Commerce Department could not be immediately reached for comment. Previously, federal officials have said any delay to their transition plans would embolden the U.S. governments harshest critics.
The Intertubes!
True how quickly will they be able to intercept financial transactions and provide their cronies the abililty to thieve identities. I'm thinking a year long recess from internet shopping is in order. But I only use a prepaid card anyway.
If this goes through, obama, kerry, McConnell, and ryan will be known as those who killed the internet.
My advice to them: if this comes to pass, hide. Find the most remote part of the world and go there, and never show your faces to the world again, because you assholes have single-handedly killed one the best economic engines and bastions of free speech the world has ever known.
Yup. The sooner President Trump gets us out of the globalist UN, the better. Dump the UN and take back the internet. We own and control the bulk of the hardware and technology and it is in our nations best interests financially and security-wise to maintain total control over it. If traitor Obama gives it away, we must take it backby force if necessary. Our national security, financial security, individual security, and our freedom depends on it. All our records and transactions (government, military, commercial and private) are ending up on the internet and, of course, ALL of our emails including government and military.
Foreign hackers? Hell, we dont need hackers if they give it all away.
TREASON!!
Congress does jack!
.
I don’t think the Internet will be killed, just castrated.
Internet licenses will be required, at a low cost but with significant personal information mandatory.
Some economy adjusted monthly fee will be imposed.
Critical infrstructure has long been identified and excluded from any shutdown.
TWB
Virtually all telcom is now TCP/IP protocol.
I doubt licensing will be required by individual users. Business, news, and social media will be heavily policed though. I think that the EU/china internet “hate” laws will be enforced.
Yep...they will push for “more tightly controlled internet”.
That’s why American Congress let it go. They got too much flak when they wanted control. Now they can blame foreigners for the clamp down on dissenting ideas.
