I cannot help but think that some of the noise made by the citizens encouraged them to take this additional step.
Also, senator Cruz has SENT A LETTER to NTIA, National Telecommunications Information Administration, requesting that they DELAY THE TRANSFER UNTIL CONGRESS CAN VOTE ON THE ISSUE...CONGRESS NEVER GOT A VOTE...NOT HOUSE OR SENATE!!!

So many competing stories sucking air out of news cycle...It is sad...We are focused on terrorism, BLM riots, the debates, the election, etc...Sadly, there was not enough time after the Labor Day recess to give this adequate attention...plus no organized group opposing it to give it press coverage...
IMHO this is very much like the EMP issue...it is a real threat, but since there is no organized effort to push for hardening of the grid, nothing gets done. A few people are working on the issue, but very little press coverage.
As an aside, there were groups lobbying for the transfer...like the Tech giants and they put out some information to the effect that the transfer is no big deal...that did not help the cause.

I contacted Marco Rubio’s office last week. I was told not to worry about it , it wasn’t going to happen. I knew then that it was a done deal.
