While defense lawyers were quick to point out through cross-examination that none of the guns or ammunition were illegal, prosecutors hoped to show that the mere volume, presence and use of the some of the firearms for target practice reveal the defendants' intent to intimidate refuge employees...

I disagree with many of the actions taken at that wildlife refuge, but this prosecution is absurd. Turning target practice into a crime is an act of evil, one that clearly violates the Second Amendment.

I have said repeatedly that this whole thing amounts to no more than criminal trespass and depending on who you believe vandalism. This kind of stuff is worth about a $1000 fine and 6 mos in the county slam at worst.

The govt is trying to put people away for 10 years for civil disobedience. It has to be stopped. If they get convicted Trump needs to step in and give full pardons on hjis first day in office. And pardons to the Hammond’s.
