The Fish and Wildlife Service did remove wolves from the endangered list because they're no longer endangered in WI. A judge put them back on.

"Weaken existing law to make it easier to shoot, over bait, otherwise protected migratory birds." Solar farms and windmills are doing an excellent job of massacring birds, regardless of protection status.

Remove federal protections from wolves in Wyoming and in the Great Lakes region, thereby subjecting these imperiled animals to hunting and trapping. "It is time,
Just do it.

“Halt the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s efforts to protect elephants from poaching...”
I hadn’t realized that was a big problem in the U.S.

...at risk of delisting from Endangered Species Act That's a "risk?" I thought that's a good thing; it means the program worked and the animals are no longer a dwindling species, right? The "risk" would be if they were nearing extinction and needed protection, right?
Or is this another case of one on a government program, you never get off?

This is not a biological issue. It is a political issue...
...and yet not one mention of politics or who belongs to what political party as one reads through the article. Plenty of mention of folks attempting to control unelected bureaucrats with an agenda. And lots of whining about the will of the people in conflict with the will of certain politicians.
Anyone familiar with the section of the Constitution containing “Public land managers”?
My forefathers were engaged in the important process of eliminating predators from the land. They were dangerous to humans and livestock production, not to mention voracious meat eaters that reduced the deer, elk, moose population.
There should be a special place reserved for those who want to practice environmental activism. I think it is called Africa. I have started a special one way travel fund to assist in the transfer.

'bringing forth illnesses like lyme disease, chronic wasting disease, white-nosed bat fungus, brain worms in moose, and even the plague.
Lyme disease and CWD are spreading because there are too many deer in
semi-suburban areas that do not allow hunting here in Pennsylvania...many
of these deer could be taken if these areas were opened during archery
season. I imagine that the moose issue has a similar cause.

"The actions and legislation of this U.S. Congress make me realize that hunters think that wilderness is a federally financed shooting range with roads leading across it from all directions, dogs fighting bears and wolves, forests emptied using steel-jaw traps, and living animals lined up for target practice. There is “shredding” going on, but the wolves are doing it to any and everything they can catch. The term “Killing Frenzy” exists because it aptly and succinctly described a well documented wolf behavior.
It also is part of cougar behavior as is documented on the EvergladesInstitue.org site. Whether domestic animals and fowl or herds of livestock, wildlife, whatever, predacious behaviors have been known since before we became men.
Ask any baboon about leopards. Or, Yellowstone elk about wolves.
