Ted Cruz Releases Statement on the Debate
Ted Cruz via Facebook ^

Posted on 09/27/2016 3:52:05 AM PDT by TigerClaws

Tonight, a clear contrast was drawn between the two nominees. Tonight, Hillary Clinton made it clearer than ever that if elected President, our future will continue on the same path that is hurting millions of Americans. If Clinton is elected, we know that the havoc Obamacare is wreaking on American families, on small businesses, and on our healthcare system will continue. We know that President Obama’s relentless efforts to crush the oil and gas industry and to wage war on coal will continue. We know that the Obama administration’s willful blindness to radical Islamic terrorism and the influx of unvetted refugees from nations infiltrated by terrorists will continue. We know that President Obama’s lawless executive amnesty will continue and even expand.

If Clinton is elected, we know that a liberal justice will be named to fill Scalia’s seat and we will lose the Supreme Court for a generation. With that, we know for a certainty that our right to keep and bear arms, our religious liberty and federalism are in danger. Tonight we received insight into what a Hillary Clinton presidency would look like for Americans. We know that her policies would kill jobs, reduce wages, and continue the downward spiral our country has endured under President Obama.

Tonight, Donald Trump had his strongest debate performance of the election cycle. He drew strong contrasts with Hillary on taxes, regulations, law and order, and the disastrous Iran deal.

Rather than Hillary's America, we need to take a different path. A path that would begin to restore our country from the damage it has suffered the last eight years. We need to unite to defend freedom and restore the Constitution. And Hillary Clinton made absolutely clear tonight she would not do so.

some of the Haters (sissy) are of the same blood as the Libs....not the side I want to be on.

We need allies in this war.

Do you honestly think McConnell, McCain, or Graham (the leaders of the 0bama Lickspittle Brigade) will help Trump?

Be serious, now. I know you can do it.

Despite the overheated idiocy of the primaries, Cruz and Trump are not at all far apart on position and policy. It may pain you to admit it, but Trump will need allies in Congress. President is not dictator. Confusing the two roles is one of 0bama's many evils. Cruz (along with Lee and Sessions) can and should be a big part of Trump's support in Congress.

That's if the Cruz haters don't manage to get Hildebeeste elected out of sheer spitefulness.

Glad to read Cruz did this. I LMAO reading about Glenn Beck’s response to what Cruz wrote. IMO, Cruz rightly sees he screwed up with his former never-trump BS. At this point, I don’t care. If Cruz can help turn the majority of the GOPe/never-trump folks to voting for Trump good for him, the nation & for our nominee.

Vote Trump 2016

No, he needs to hang around. He still has people out there who support him. If he tells them to vote for Donald, they will. In some states Donald needs those votes. Let him and any of the others who might finally back him, do so. That at least gives some picture of a solid backing from the RINO party.

Nope, I supported McConnell’s adversaries (in primaries)
he is a Quisling.

I agree with rest of your comment.

:)

It’s really very sad, but this trap to divide the opposition to the demrats has been played over and over, yet good people fall for it. The old media empire is largely responsible for setting up this framework of division between Trump and Cruz and I guarantee there is more to come. Voter fraud for the demrats will be at an all time high and Trump is going to need all the support he can muster. Actually, Cruz and Trump are both firebrands and can form a very strong alliance.

As Trump could say “ Ted what do you have to lose?” Your bromance with Beck is over. Ted what do you have to lose.

1) because he’s right
2) because too many commentators felt the need to tell us that Trump missed X, Y and Z opportunities and Hillary was so wonderful, but they entirely missed the point of how Trump got this far and why he’s winning. It’s not about debate points, it’s about change. And Trump positioned himself as the agent of change.
3) and because it shows that Cruz learned the lesson of why he lost. He’s the best debater in modern history and he lost to Trump. Not because Trump is a better debater, but because Trump tied everyone else to Washington and positioned himself as the only alternative.

“The more people who support him, the better.”

Yeah ALLRIGHT Ted Cruz come on board ! It’s not too late !

The only GOAL IS CLINTON’s DEFEAT and resounding defeat

I don't know if I believe him, but on this phone call with Beck yesterday or so, he said when he and Pence met, Pence asked him what it would take to get on board. Cruz said a list of the only SC nominees Trump would consider. And Trump did supply that second list.

I think it was combination of Trump's list, Rence's ultimatum and political calculation. Cruz told Beck he rented his supporters' list to Trump. Beck didn't like that at all. Interesting conversation.

“So why did Cruz feel the need to comment? Like people care what he thinks?”

Because Trump needs every vote right now. He is going to have to win at the ballot box by huge numbers to overcome the ballot boxes that have already been stuffed and will be stuffed by election officials all over this Nation that have been ‘bought’ by Soros. As my late father-in-law used to say about Virginia...we have the best politicians that money can buy!

I agree 100%. Ted is not the enemy. He may be late to the party, but at least he has shown up. Ted is a politician. Of course he is doing not only what is right for this country, but what serves his political agenda. So be it. We need all the support we can get. Go Trump.
