Ted Cruz Releases Statement on the Debate
Ted Cruz via Facebook ^

Posted on 09/27/2016 3:52:05 AM PDT by TigerClaws

Tonight, a clear contrast was drawn between the two nominees. Tonight, Hillary Clinton made it clearer than ever that if elected President, our future will continue on the same path that is hurting millions of Americans. If Clinton is elected, we know that the havoc Obamacare is wreaking on American families, on small businesses, and on our healthcare system will continue. We know that President Obama’s relentless efforts to crush the oil and gas industry and to wage war on coal will continue. We know that the Obama administration’s willful blindness to radical Islamic terrorism and the influx of unvetted refugees from nations infiltrated by terrorists will continue. We know that President Obama’s lawless executive amnesty will continue and even expand.

If Clinton is elected, we know that a liberal justice will be named to fill Scalia’s seat and we will lose the Supreme Court for a generation. With that, we know for a certainty that our right to keep and bear arms, our religious liberty and federalism are in danger. Tonight we received insight into what a Hillary Clinton presidency would look like for Americans. We know that her policies would kill jobs, reduce wages, and continue the downward spiral our country has endured under President Obama.

Tonight, Donald Trump had his strongest debate performance of the election cycle. He drew strong contrasts with Hillary on taxes, regulations, law and order, and the disastrous Iran deal.

Rather than Hillary's America, we need to take a different path. A path that would begin to restore our country from the damage it has suffered the last eight years. We need to unite to defend freedom and restore the Constitution. And Hillary Clinton made absolutely clear tonight she would not do so.

And if Trump wins then Cruz will not be a reliable ally in the Senate.

Nonsense. If Trump gets in and pursues constitutional/conservative/pro-USA policies then Trump won't have a bigger ally in the Senate. The current Senate Republican leadership is an entirely different matter.

Yesterday, Limbaugh explained how Cruz made a major mistake at the convention. Cruz must have been listening or heard about it.

So why did Cruz feel the need to comment? Like people care what he thinks?

A lot of conservatives do. Cruz was the only conservative in the race with a chance of winning. Do you have something against conservatives?

I feel like I woke up in an alternate universe reading that from Cruz!

Well better late than never. Welcome to the Trump Train Ted, and while you have to go to rear car, we’ll find you a seat. That bump we just went over was Glenn Beck. The engineer just radioed the train yard to send somebody over there to scrape what’s left of his career off the rails with a razor blade.

Most of those posting negative comments aimed at Cruz sound like they’re about 16. (At least the emotional age.) They need to grow up. Let the big people win an election.

" Appearing with Trump at a rally in some of states that Ted was strong in would help bring back a lot of the Never Trumpers."

OR at least neutralize their noise!!

Sounds like Cruz may have actually seen the light - while I’m still disgusted with him, I hope to see him actively campaigning for Trump for the next 5 + weeks.

Disclaimer, not a Cruz fan.....
However, I welcome him to the Trump train.....better late than never...

Some time in the future he will have to atone to his electorate but now is not the time....

Now is for full team effort.....

On that note....the entire Bush family should be exiled from the Republican Party in perpetuity

Cruz could help in Wisconsin,Iowa and Maine. He won these three. I believe he has support in Colorado. Which is a state Trump needs to win. Ted can be a firebrand when the spirit hits him.
