Reagan was the one who made it okay to mess with the national debt.

Ditto.

I’ve been considering the Clintons as Bushes and you can add the Obamas. This solidifies the elitist class. F em

That pic of Bush hugging Hillary shows he believes what his religion teaches: turn the other cheek. When he was told to cool the rhetoric after his genuine display of emotion in the rubble and human remains of the Twin Towers, he returned to his spiritual base: judge not lest ye be judged! When the elder Saudi kissed him and he acquiesced, he was embracing the idea that all men are sinners.

W. is a deeply Christian man. His genuine emotion is written all over his face. He practices what his faith inspires him to do. I can't understand why he is vilified by Christians.

America required a separation of one’s personal religious beliefs from one’s actions under the Constitution. Had the Presidency been properly balanced by the other branches with their check and doublecheck on the expansion of power, W. and all modern President's could not have gotten us into so much trouble. I just feel sad for the families who lost loved ones in our recent undeclared wars.

There has never been any question in my mind in regards to the Bush family. They are NE liberals.

You can stand in the middle of your garage and pretend to be a car, but doesn't make it so.

Same thing with the Bush family. You can move to Texas, you can buy a ranch....don't make ya a Texan.

Compassionate conservatism? Yea right. Nothin more/nothin less than liberalism.

I don’t know what you mean by that. In terms of the national debt, this country was never the same after 1968 when the Johnson administration began the practice of using excess Social Security tax revenues to hide massive budget deficits.

1. You have no idea if George W. Bush is a "deeply Christian man."

2. Maybe he is vilified by Christians because we're sitting here eight years after he left office, and we don't see much evidence of his Christianity when we look back at his tenure in the White House.

To help you decide if W. is a Christian man go to You Tube and search “George W Bush heaven”. If there are different ways, doesn’t this demean what Christ did?

I don’t think it was appropriate to send our young men in harms way in Iraq and wanting to remain above the fray at home by not calling out those lying about the mission here at home.

Sounds like Politician Christianity to me.

That dope didn't know anything more about Christianity than he knew about Islam.

The only charitable thing I could ever say about him was that he probably isn't terribly bright.

A very disappointing President, but at least he knows his place now that he’s out of office, unlike the Clinton family. I expect we haven’t seen the last of the Obamas, either.

I posted THIS on September 13, 2001. I think I had Bush dialed in even then.

I wrote an even better analysis here of the man after he came to our small town in July 1999 for a 2000 NH primary campaign stop, but unfortunately I didn't save it and it's not available in the FR archives any more.

Irony would be one of those liberal black blocks doing him. He might as well be embracing Saddam at this point. Doesnt he realize how ridiculous this is?
