Actor Isaiah Washington is calling on African-Americans to protest the recent killings of black men by police in a very different way.

Washington took to Facebook on Tuesday to suggest that African-Americans across the United States boycott showing up for work on Monday to show that black lives matter in the wake of recent police brutality.

"Imagine if every single African American in the United States that was really fed up with being angry, sad and disgusted, would pick ONE DAY to simply 'stay at home' from every single job, work site, sports arena and government office in the United States of America," he wrote to his thousands of followers.

"I'm very sure that within 72 hours from Wall Street to the NFL...Black Lives Would Matter. September 26, 2016 is THE DAY," the former "Grey's Anatomy" star continued.

The only thing I know about the guy is he made some derogatory remarks to the gay (in real life) doctor on the show and got booted off Grey’s Anatomy. With that and this, it seems he enjoys running his mouth.

What's that old saying? Subscribe to that paper so I can cancel my subscription?
Have to go get a job so I can not show up for work.

The black people’s response to this call to boycott work will show how the average black person is responding to this media driven hype. My bet is it will almost uniformally be overlooked. The trouble makers in Charlotte are not representative of black people in general.

Black people like white people are not stupid enough to be led around by the news media. Some few get excited by these biased news reports, but then settle down when they realize.

Since I never watch news on the TV, and only read the news that attracts my interest, of which never includes what happens in Hollywood, it never crossed my radar so tospeak.

Now I might notice if a Hollywood actor/actress dies or is involved in a scandal, I might read a little about it. For example I know Angelina Jolie is divorcing Brad Pitt, but primarily only because I happened to see a headline. Why they are divorcing I have no clue, nor do I care.

There are far too many important things happening in this world. I really knew very little about Donald Trump before he threw his hat into the ring. In fact, I laughed and thought it was a joke. Upon hearing what he was saying, I became interested in him. I've never watched his show, but I know he is famous for saying, "You're Fired"!!! How the show actually worked I haven't a clue to this day. I knew he was rich, and was successful, but none of that was ever an attraction to him for me. What he was saying about America, immigration, and other things made me finally look into the man. The more I looked, the more I liked, and I dumped Cruz in favor of Trump as a result.

Well now I know more than I care to know about Isaiah Washington, and what I know about him leaves me unimpressed, to say the least. But yes, of course he can get away with his comment and still land on his feet, because he is of a protected class, so they always get a pass after the initial furor has passed. Just like a white Democrat politician can say something that would be a career ender for most, it never is for them.

Day Without A Mexican Black - Part Deux? SOMEHOW, I think, the working taxpayers of the country won't notice a difference (except the lower than avg. traffic I'd guess).
