I never swordfished but I hear it’s deep Gulf Stream canyon fishing
Swordfishing has been done at night for some time both off the East Coast and the Keys. We run to 1600’-1750’ off here in the Keys,mostly in the daytime and fish the bottom. At night they come closer to the top and are usually caught from 300 feet down to near the surface.
One of our captains was instrumental in starting the daytime rage for swordfishing down here about ten years ago. Now his son is following in his footsteps as are hundreds of others.
