(Howie) Carr: Debate fix is in ... for Hillary Clinton
Boston Herald ^ | September 25, 2016 | Howie Carr

Posted on 09/25/2016 3:20:09 AM PDT by Zakeet

Vegas wouldn't touch this one with a 10-foot pole. It's fixed.

Whatever happens on Long Island, Hillary will immediately be declared the winner by 98 percent of the press. The headlines are already written, the phony-baloney polls and focus groups are ready to roll.

Hillary has to accomplish only two feats in Hempstead. The first one is to get off a couple of canned zingers for her adoring fans in social media to run with Tuesday morning.

What's the over/under on how many minutes it will take her to say, "I'm a grandmother"? Comrade Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell will lap it up with a spoon. Oh, she so humanized herself, blah blah blah.

Hillary's second task may prove more daunting: She has to remain vertical for 90 long minutes, with no oxygen mask or iron lung up there on the stage.

As we all know, there's something wrong with Hillary, and I don't mean her cirrhosis of the soul. There's that hacking cough, and her tendency to collapse in sweltering 78-degree heat waves. Delivering prepared remarks, she sometimes blanks out in mid-sentence. And now there's that thing with her eyes.

Still, she's got it a lot easier than Donald Trump. Think about it - if he interrupts her, he's a misogynist bully. If she interrupts him, she is woman, hear her roar. She is powering through. They'll put the blast on him if he calls her "Hillary." How dare he not respect Madame Secretary!

With Democrats, if it weren't for the double standard, there would be no standards at all.

The media fix is in for Granny Pickles ... but this time, it's not going to be enough!

I hope she gets a bathroon break. If not, I hope Trump can handle her smell well. That may be his biggest challenge.

If Trump is ripping her to pieces, I wouldn't be surprised if they pull the plug on the transmission and declare Hillary the winner.

Debates are not about sound bites, although the media needs a meme to run with. I think people get to know the candidates on a more basic level when they see how they act together for longer than 10 minutes. They can sense who is genuine and who is phony and faking any human emotion. hillary is in trouble from that standpoint...she is totally fake.

It's the canned zingers, IMO.

As I age, things like shopping lists and numerous notes all over my desk are becoming an absolute necessity because I find small mental tasks sometimes difficult or even disappearing.

It's not enough for me, for someone to say, "Oh, we all do that .. " because I have always been quick (though dim) witted and have had a great deal of pleasure in my life from being a comic relief to others.

Hillary has NEVER been a wit, but she NOW knows how important a quick remark will be and I think we will hear some remarks that will be just a little off in their timing ... because she has them at the ready, and is subconsciously ... or even consciously ... waiting to deliver the line at just the right time.

But Trump is a natural non-stop talker when he needs to be and can easily befuddle the best laid plans of mice and Dems

Unless she has been programmed to the debate, and there is no question from each candidate for the other at the conclusion of the debate, I think we're going to witness some uncomfortable conversational hick-ups that are going to leave normal people scratching their heads wondering why she said that, and at that time.

“She looks like she reeks of rancid tuna.”

There’s a reason one of her nicknames from the ‘90s is “Old Crusty”. She just looks... smelly — combination of dirty hair (one of the worst smells in the world), and a few layers of old BO.

Hillary will appear just fine (medical intervention) and will be on fire with the zingers and correct answers about weird places in the world (ear piece). Some one in the audience needs to bring a cell phone signal blocker, then the real hillary will be on stage for all to see.

Of course the Mainstream press is going to declare Hillary to be the winner!

If she comes out and five minutes into the debate has a seizure, wets herself and then passes out for the night NPR and the NY Times will tell us she showed an impressive grasp of foreign policy and that Trump’s lack of sympathy for her condition was sexist and proved him unfit for office.

I believe that one outcome of this election will be that the Mainstream Media will have destroyed themselves, not Trump.

Trump will win the people’s vote and win in the online polls

We will freep him to victory.

They internet and social media, if Zuckerberg and Google allow will be the people’s voice or they will ruin themselves.

This is the future of the USA at stake

I would be curious what the temperature of the interior of the room will be at starting time. The lower, the better for her. If it’s 75 or higher, I think it’ll be a negative for her and invite the coughing business.

I think her biggest issue is that it’s 90 minutes and she’s likely to do massive amounts of various drugs which don’t mix well with other drugs. So in the first 30 minutes...she’ll start to look dazed.

If she has any coughing attacks at all....then this debate is finished and a loss for her.

I can hardly wait until she spots Gennifer Flowers sitting directly in front of her in the front row!

You might be a bit late with that.

Currently, less than 25% of American trust the MSM.

Were already there.

It can't get much worse than it already is.

Part of that Tuesday morning spin was an assignment given to Mark Cuban. He was to serve as a distraction (?) to Trump, and, I am sure, Hillary envisioned that Tuesday morning he would hold press and add his weight to the effort to promote a negative flow against Trump. Now, Trump has sidelined him very effectively with Flowers.

The one who will be distracted now is Hillary, if Flowers really does sit up close.
