Three gunmen shot and wounded eight people including a 3-year-old girl on an east Baltimore street Saturday night, police said, adding the suspects fled and the victims were all expected to survive.

The shooting erupted outside some rowhouses about 8:30 p.m. after the three armed men converged on the group from different points, Baltimore Police Commissioner Ken Davis told The Associated Press.

Davis, who went to the scene, said the shooting was a premeditated act of retaliatory violence in response to a Labor Day weekend shooting in which a person was fatally shot and two others were wounded, including a pregnant woman. He did not immediately explain how investigators believed the shootings were linked. …

“tong wars”

A BBQ argument? “Memphis style!” “No! KC!”
Someone disrespected someone and ... yeah, many of my BBQs ended with people trading shots.
What’s wrong with these people?

From the Baltimore Sun, there's this.

A woman who identified herself as Kisha but declined to give her last name was coming home Saturday evening after attending a baby shower. Wearing a pink tutu that was part of the party attire, she said she heard people in her neighborhood had been shot, and was disturbed by the violence.

"There's always something," she said.

Shucks, now I'm curious to see Kisha in her pink tutu.

What a ridiculous headline. It is written to make it seem that the police shot 8 people. I know, they are saying that this is a report by the police, but usually they only quote the source in the headline when there are no other sources.

It happened on the east side of town. I’m guessing this is like every town’s east side where it’s not safe to be there at high noon much less midnight.
