NEW YORK (AP) -- Since he entered the presidential race, it's been Donald Trump's style to break with convention. It's no different when it comes to debate prep.
The New York billionaire has skipped practicing a full debate as he gets ready for his first on-stage meeting with Hillary Clinton. While he has studied policy ideas and practiced answering questions he may face Monday night, experts who have been through the process call his decision to skip time-intensive mock debates a mistake.
"I think he's putting himself at an incredible disadvantage," said Brett O'Donnell, a Republican strategist and veteran debate coach who compared Trump's decision to a football team failing to scrimmage.
Trump's Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, has run through full-length mock debates against a stand-in for Trump during her preparation sessions. For good reason, O'Donnell said. Gaming out every potential permutation of what might happen in the 90-minute showdown helps a candidate calculate how to respond.

It’s not mudslinging to point out her policy failures, it’s just telling the truth. She has a long history of going ballistic when challenged, to get her to do that in front of 120 MILLION viewers, would be priceless.

Of course that doesn't include the Deaths that are still being committed by the Hillary / Obama created ISIS.
Trump = I never stood in front of a Child's Coffin with their Parents and lied to their faces about the reason for their Child's Death.
Trump = While I have lost money on a few Business deals over the past four Decades, I have never “misplaced” Six Billion Taxpayer funded Dollars like Hillary did as SOS when she ran the State Department.
Trump = The Middle East, it's all Hillary's and her former Boss Obama’s fault, I had nothing to do with it and they had everything to do with it.

The one question I would like to hear DT as HRC. “Can you tell us why five of your closest associates have been given immunity from prosecution regarding your private email server?” That question alone could be enough to send her into spasmatic convulsions.

I find it funny how so many people seem rattled that he doesn’t act like a politician, when that is what makes him so effective.
All of us at one time or another over-studied for a test or over-prepared for a job interview only to have it go horribly wrong, It just wasn’t natural.
Same here. Add in that Trump has the instincts of a street fighter and we could be in for a VERY INTERESTING evening. We might even be treated to several rounds of “The Dozens”.
He did great in the Republican debates. He’ll do fine against Hillary.
I’m thinking that there may be a release of more information on Sunday by Assange.
If there is it will throw Hillary into spasms of dread... there won’t be enough time for Hillary’s minions to search through it all and prepare responses to potentially disastrous points Trump might bring up.
Sunday release is perfect IMO....here’s hoping there is a fresh release!

I only rehearse to get the timing down, if I have a defined time slot for a presentation.
I’ve certainly loaded for bear and found out that the quarry was squirrel. But in Donald’s case, he carries his bear gun all the time.
Trump's team knows that anything that lowers expectations for him is good especially if he does well. It might also help keep her from calling in sick. That is all that his team is doing by releasing this. This makes no difference at all. Trump out works Hillary by at leas three to one on everything. He will be superbly prepared for this debate.
My timing is in the slides. By adding or removing material (which I use for reminders of what I want to say) I can pace the presentation correctly. It’s the way I have always done it, but I never knew if others did the same.
Not to worry. Trump prevailed against a phalanx of opponents in twelve primary debates because of one thing. He’s the best candidate for the job. Period.
Against Hillary, he’ll look even more qualified.
