Black Lives Matter rioters claiming systemic racial discrimination is killing black people have laid siege to largely black Charlotte, North Carolina, after a black cop who reports to a black police chief shot and killed a black suspect who reportedly refused to drop his handgun. With Election Day only weeks away, it is possible the chaos in the Tarheel State is part of a left-wing get-out-the-vote effort to foment unrest in the state's black communities. Remember that Democrat Barack Obama narrowly won the vitally important battleground state in 2008 and narrowly lost it in 2012.

Well, it could rally the black vote that wasn't super=excited about Hillary and wasn't planning on turning out to vote.

OTOH, it will hopefully bring out more saner heads who want this all to stop.

Actually, it is animals acting like animals. And if the good people want to tolerate it, it will continue.

i couldnt help notice how some of the protesters weren’t wearing belts, their jeans/pants hanging 6 inches below their underwear. is this a new trend?

" Some contend that it sprang up because belts were not allowed in prison - to prevent self-harm, while some believe blacks who were enslaved were denied belts for fear they would aid in escape.

“The saggin’ started in the prison where inmates couldn’t wear belts, but in jail culture things started to transcend,” said community activist Leonard Jahad, the state’s top New Haven probation supervisor,

“The left pant leg rolled up meant you’re in a certain gang and both pant legs rolled up meant something else,” Jahad said. “When pants are down like the kids wear on the streets, in prison, it means you are available to the next man for sexual activity.”

This cultural fascination with the ugliness in society, rather than the good, is incredibly destructive. Instead of role models like MLK, Ben Carson, Condi Rice, etc., the cultural icons are those who don't promote education, achievement, self-respect, respect of others and of life, etc.

I see more sane minded blacks who have had enough heading in the direction of Mr. Trump. Folks just want to be left alone.

Simple rule to avoid having a cop cap your behind: stop committing crime. Guess that’s too much to expect.

All neo-communist groups aiming for a destabilizing of the social order to pave the way for revolution to establish a communist paradise.

"Only downtown Charlotte has a few sporadic fires poppin’ up. Ya see..."

LOL. You give yourself away as a possible long-time resident by using the word "downtown". The hoity-toity crowd has replaced "downtown" with the term "Uptown", don't ya know.

Stay safe!

Allowing that Charlotte is not Jerusalem, I am reminded of the Book of Lamentations:
How lonely sits the city
that was full of people
She has become a widow
who was once great among the nations
She weeps bitterly in the night
and tears are on her cheeks
She has none to comfort her

Thanks for posting the correction.

Looks like something happened to the hyphen between ‘turned’ and ‘out’

This is not an effort to scare up some Hilliary voters. This is very simply a logical seeming, to those who do not think logic is “thinking white”, outcome of progressive rhetoric and policies.

By now the left thought they would have disarmed the rest of us and put as under the tender watch and care of federally armed police who would, in turn, protect us from the domestic terrorists and criminals/BLM that they had unleashed.

Thanks to the much denigrated, especially on this forum, Republican Congress, we still have enough remnants of the 2nd to prevent that from happening.

This cultural fascination with the ugliness in society...

Remember in mathematics - the Lowest Common Denominator?

In "Culture" as defined by the Media & Hollywood, "Lowest Common Denominator" applies. Most of what they put out must be:

Low - in character & morals Common - as in vulgar Denominations - as in $10s, $20s $50s and $100s Our Media cultural mentors have fallen a long way since Billy Graham's Los Angeles Crusade in 1949.

"Word that Hollywood celebrities were "stepping forward to receive Christ" reached publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, who sent a two-word telegram to every editor in his newspaper chain: "Puff Graham."

Graham told The Times in 2004 that he learned about it from two of Hearst's sons. They believed their father came to the 1949 revival in his wheelchair and in disguise, accompanied by his longtime mistress, actress Marion Davies. Hearst's intervention prompted the revival to run eight weeks -- five weeks longer than planned. Hearst died less than two years later.

"I never met him and I never corresponded with him," Graham said. "I should have written him and thanked him."

L.A. THEN AND NOW
Billy Graham's star was born at his 1949 revival in Los Angeles
The young preacher's crusade in a giant tent drew 350,000 people over eight weeks.

No. The bottom-dwellers have not, to my knowledge, made any such attempts. We all would hear about it. They are aware of making the mistake of stepping into the wrong neighborhood.
The social engineering that has taken place in Charlotte over the last 20 or so years is sickening. Decent, God fearing, hard working, etc,. folks have voted with their feet and moved out and away from the cesspool as our votes for decent conservative city leadership is many times outnumbered by the gibsmedats. The city leadership ( federally enabled ), just builds 1200 unit Gubment housing in the middle of outer communities which brings da hood out to us. Ain’t it grand !
Having been exposed to these “decent” neighborhoods, where they are not an overwhelming force, da parasites CLEARLY understand what lies in wait for them behaving brutishly. They will keep it downtown in order to retain the ability to loot-another-day.
