Trump: I might vote for Clinton too if I were Bush
The Washington Examiner ^ | September 21, 2016 | Al Weaver

"Look, I fought his son very hard. It was a very tough battle — Jeb, and Jeb lost. He was expected to win," Trump told Time Warner News prior to a rally in North Carolina Wednesday. "He was expected to be the nominee and he lost."

"We're leading all over, and we seem to be doing very well. But I fought him and it was a very nasty contest. It was very nasty and I can understand that," Trump said. "Frankly, if I were him, maybe I'd go that direction too. Look, Jeb Bush signed a pledge. He didn't honor the pledge. They say it was a very nasty contest and it certainly was."

"But Jeb Bush didn't and I can understand how the Bush family feels," Trump added. "He was supposed to win. He was supposed to be the nominee. Not only wasn't he, he wasn't the nominee, but he didn't do very well."

For me the “if I were Bush” is a reference to the establishment position I associate with Bush.

Schrub the elder was forced on Reagan to get the nomination.

That’s an interesting point. The Bushes have damaged their grandson’s future political prospects. They should have thought about that before they rushed to support Crooked Hillary.

Also, there’s potentially more damaging information coming out from Wikileaks and perhaps other sources about Hillary’s shenanigans so that could make Bush look really bad.

They’re just mad that their little Jebbie got trounced by Trump and their feelings are hurt.

When Trump wins, the Bush-Clinton-Obama dark era of America will be over, thank God.

Not finding your ad, but I did find this which I had never seen before and found to be interesting.

Still looking for your ad though, because I want to see it.

Its everything I’d want to say about Bush Sr, Jeb, and more. Trump speaks the truth when he says, “I’ll be your voice,” he most definitely is.

Jeb’s humiliation is not the real reason, but it is not unrelated. The Bushes prefer Hillary over Trump because she is a fellow Globalist — and Globalism is at the root of the nationalist Trump’s crushing victory over Jillary Bush. All but Trump want a borderless world ruled by a transnational elite.

I could understand this more than people like Rush Limbaugh or Mark Levin who are just commentators being sore losers.

I agree. It was a combination of factors but the philosophical one was probably dominant. The Bushes believe in government “solutions” to the world’s problems.

The Bushes are mad that we would not elect a THIRD Bush.

Their sense of dynastic entitlement is off the charts.

How out of touch are the elites? The top pick Uniparty candidates were a third Bush and a second Clinton. 318M people in the US and those were their picks.

The Bushes present themselves as Christians, but we are seeing a very nasty side to them and their hypocrisy and this is treason to this country that will literally end this nation as founded and the world is in a very dangerous transition.

I still get a smile on my face when i think about it. They were trying, for the third election in a row, to force us to have no choice but to vote for a establishment hack.
I guess they thought third time was a charm?
:)

Great reply. Rubbing it in their faces and reminding everyone of their lack of integrity. The Bushes are scum.

Having that pledge is awesome kryptonite for any of these GOP phonies - whenever they start taking wave the pledge and what they say goes away.

I would have added, “In fact if I were Poppy Bush I think I’d be so embarrassed by Jeb!s performance that I’d quit the Republican Party altogether. That’s a hint, by the way!”
