PI tattoos.

Yeah 'PI' is a well know acronym.

Everyone I know uses it to refer to Pacific Islanders.

Absolutely no one uses it mean private investigator or anything else.

Sheesh.

Both of my parents were born and raised in Samoa and I have traditional Samoan tattoos on my body and I find the white savior complex in a lot of white liberals very offensive.

Those Pacific Islander cannibals can freakin’ eat me.

Those were the final words of Captain Cook.

He chose his name badly. That’s all I’ll say.

I guess this means minstrel shows are not going to make a comeback anytime soon.

Anyone who uses the term “cultural misappropriation” in a non-ironic way needs to be slapped.

Disney cartoons were invented by a white guy. Minorities must refrain from watching them.

Ignoring all else, I find it damn funny to see Disney getting some grief from the very people they’ve sidled up to for so long with their gay days and their progressive b.s.

Better yet, come to Santa Barbara and eat at the one remaining Sambo’s, the original first one.

Used to be a cafeteria in Colombus, next to Ft. Benning called “Mammys”. We went there after church.
You walk in and there was Hattie McDaniel’s beaming face on the wall. Good chow!

Because the truth of the matter is that it’s hard to assert that a culture is not being appropriated — that is, objectified in a way that dilutes its history, essence, and significance down into its most superficial elements that can than be adopted as costume by those not of that culture — except for those of the culture in question.

Someone needs to shove these snowflakes down a manhole.

Here’s a question for you.

Since you either presently live in or previously resided in New Zealand, how do the Maouri in New Zealand feel about white service members performing the Hakka greeting along with their Maori fellow soldiers? Or the white members of the Blacks soccer team who participate when it is performed before matches? I don’t see any frowns on faces of observers in videos on YouTube on the co-mingling of participants in this most Polnesian ritual.

However, I have to admit that I like it best when performed by a single Maori warrior in traditional dress and armed with the engraved wooden club. The facial gestures, tongue flicking, tattoos, weapon brandishing, aggressive postures, and loud chanted greeting all make quite an impression.

Is it cultural misappropriation to appreciate or (gasp) even like such performances?
