When Paul Combetta aka “stonetear” woke up yesterday morning, it’s doubtful he would have suspected a two year old archive written under his Reddit pseudonym would have been on his mind. Full Day One Discovery Thread HERE

However, someone must have alerted him asap because within hours of our story hitting the web (04:45am EDT) Combetta began furiously deleting his Reddit postings, user information, and various media forum histories.

In addition to secondarily confirming his real-life identity, in legal-speak such behavior is called: “consciousness of guilt“.

Leaving an active IP address on a Microsoft exchange server help website for a couple of years was just stupid.
That IP address was Cankles server. I’d bet she got hacked within days of that happening.
So yeah, her emails are out there. If the deep web folks didn’t get them the putinnorkschicoms et al did. We know the nsa vacuum sucked them up. They suck everything- hehe

columbetta/river platte said they did the erase on their own not told to do it but the posts indicate he was going to delete email addresses at someone elses request..he is in such deep caca now the best thing he can do is come clean on everything and sing like a bird..which it is rumored he is going to do or already doing. circumstancial evidence that he was under someone elses direction for one illegal thing thus likely the other

And it’s really strange about Drudge. I wish I knew why he’s not covering this. If Fox and US News is covering it, there’s no reason he shouldn’t be linking to it. That’s disturbing.

p.s. I think the reason that the Trump BC news conference got so much attention is because he knows the truth and they know that he knows the truth. But he is playing it close to the vest. Hopefully saving the straight dope until after the election.

I also hope and pray for his safety and that all the info he knows is on a dead man’s switch.

Great read, this thread. Very exciting. But I hear crickets in the news. Until there’s noise in the media, my hopes don’t get very high. Maybe I’m just cynical these days. So many hopes for Hillary to go down, so many disappoints.

Help me out here please because I’m having trouble following the logic.

Did you view both videos at the end of the article? If not, please do. The first one is a good overview of the issues involved and the second one is more technical, but it is tied to the timeline.

Presumably he wants to take all the emails in the PST file and change HRCs email address with some other placeholder.

Obviously, he didn't come up with this idea. Someone told him to take original documents and alter them. This is a crime given the circumstances.

So the suspicion is that Platte/Stone Tear was instructed by HRC’s office after the agreement to produce to tamper with the file, and that this instruction amounts to intent to obstruct justice and/or other crimes.

It is more than a suspicion. Combetta's request for assistance makes it quite clear what he has been asked to do. Even one of the responders on Reddit at the time mentioned the legal implications. Eventually, Combetta would plead the 5th. Why?

Am I missing something? I am not sure I follow the logic all the way to this being proof or even strong evidence of intent or criminality. Couldn’t they easily get out of this by saying they never intended to hide the fact that these are HRC’s emails, rather that they only wanted to redact the actual address so that upon release the whole world would not discover her email address?

LOL. You don't have to alter the original documents to achieve that result. You could always redact the information like they have with so many of her emails. And the fact is the actual address(s) were already out there with the hack of the Blumenthal emails to her and from the responses to FOIA requests. Finally, you could change easily the email addresses.

This explanation actually jibes with other evidence, such as Comey’s statement that it very few people outside of the upper echelons of governments actually knew her email address, and HRC’s early claim that she wanted the “simplicity of using just 1 device” (and by “device” she meant server, not phones/tablets/laptops). If they produced all these records she would have to stop using that email address and the VIPs she wanted to stay in contact with would not be able to reach her, she would have to take pains to figure out who needed to be informed of the new address etc.

Pure nonsense. It makes no sense logically. Hillary already had multiple email addresses. Only an idiot would believe such an explantion.

Plus it seems this Stone Tear guy “forgot” to reset the server’s email retention period to 60 days as he was previously instructed. If he forgot that, isn’t it possible that the alleged instruction to find/replace HRC’s email addy could have been given before the agreement was made, and only after being made aware of the agreement did he suddenly realize he better get on it before the deadline so he reached out for help to do it fast.

You need to go back and look at the timeline. Also, Hillary was given a heads up by State that the formal request would be given.

After Combetta's two year old interchange on Reddit was discovered, the very next day he started deleting all the exchanges he had as "stonetear." Why? And why did he plead the 5th? What was in the immunity agreement? Did he lie to the FBI? Combetta realized he was involved in some "shady sh*t." He has the same attorney as Clinton and her staff. Combetta is acting and responding like a guilty man.

Unless I am missing something, I see a lot of holes in the argument, lots of plausible deniability which is another masterful skill of the Clintons. IMO this does not appear to be as smoking hot of a gun as some seem to be making it out to be. What do I have wrong? TIA.

You are missing a lot. And Combetta's actions raise some very serious questions. Lamar Smith acted swiftly yesterday.
