In his speech to the United Nations, President Barack Obama defended the increased globalization of the world’s nations, condemning the wave of populist nationalism that was growing in the world in response. Obama says globalization will continue growing rapidly, signaling the unstoppable march of progress. But he warned that nations who allow the wealthy to enjoy the benefits of globalism face challenges from their populace. Those people, he noted, were falling prey to an “alternative” narrative, propagated to fuel opposition.
“Alternative visions of the world have pressed forward, both in the wealthiest countries and in the poorest,” he said. “Religious fundamentalism. The politics of ethnicity or tribe or sect. Aggressive nationalism. A crude populism. Sometimes from the far left but more often from the far right.”
He referred to a “collision of cultures” that was challenging each country and called for world citizens to reject religious fundamentalism and racism.
“That’s a truism. That global integration has led to a clash of cultures. Trade, migration, the internet, all these things can challenge and unsettle our most cherished identities,” he said, alluding to France’s burkini laws and Muslim clashes with France’s offensive cartoons.
He also urged each country to evolve towards progress, describing the conflicts as part of the old world.
“The world is too small. We are too packed together for us to be able to resort to those old ways of thinking,” he said.

I was watching the speech with Europeans. They were fawning all over him saying how well-spoken he is. They were amazed at how he memorized the entire speech! I said he was using a telepromtper. They looked at me horrified and denied that he would use a teleprompter at the UNGA. Then I pointed it out to them. They loved his anti-American comments. I didn’t point out the irony that they all live and work in the USA and love it here. It’s not even worth it anymore.

Obama has a deep belief in the inevitability of socialist "progress" and history's unstoppable trend - the mark of a committed socialist. He is fundamentally wrong, and decent people need to prove him wrong. The key is to spend the first year of President Trump's first term rolling back the most recent losses to America's freedom. We can follow that by rolling back socialism's march over the previous century. By 2020, I'd like to see FedGov stripped down close to the enumerated powers, where even if America's enemies seize power again they will have trouble rebuilding a fraction of their previous encroachments on the rule of law.

Obama’s basically calling for a global Marxist revolution. Take down all borders and national governments, seize the land and wealth from the wealthy “One Percent” and redistribute it to the peasants.

Well I listened because I wanted to see just what he would leave to the body of International Leaders since 'his last speech'...hopefully ever again! It was no surprise to see him hype up 'World Order' intermingled with "Globalization"....since he's much invested with it and the elites bringing it to pass. But I did not expect him to stick in to US on the way out the door as he did...especially since this nation has always been the most generous and caring nation throughout it's history....but he did.... saying:
"America needs to think beyond self interest"....America has been willing to think in narrow self interest"............Further adding:..."Binding ourselves to 'INTERNATIONAL RULES' increases our nations security"...
Meanwhile Michelle couldn't quite decide what to wear to the spouces gathering so she put three outfits together to the fit the occasion...
I remember 0bama running in 2008 as some sort of “crude populist.” Projection and hypocrisy are never too far from the commies.
