I watched the opening of the game on ESPN tonight just to see if any players sat during the anthem.
I think they were all standing. HOWEVER, 3 of the Eagles players stood there with their right arms straight up and their fists clenched in the old “Black Power” stance.
Their numbers are 51, 27 and 33. Don’t know their names.
Disgusting!
I’m in total boycott mode.
..... My guess is that the situation will now be deemed a serious one .... A situation that the NFL will now start making moves to rectify ..... Because the NFL pocket book is now being affected ....

I think it will be the TV audience that determines whether the NFL will be hurt financially or not. Any decrease at all will be cause for great concern, and drop in viewing of 10% or more would result in some heads rolling.
TV pays for those huge player salaries and whatever profits a team makes, and also contributes a lot to the financial value of the teams.
I agree, college sports is just the training ground.
Even high school sports are getting infected.

Yup. Screw it. I’m pretty much a live and let live guy. What people do in their private lives is pretty much between them and their maker. Who am I to judge.
But the NFL started to try to cram an addenda down our throats (no pun intended) and I started to resent the organization. One should keep ones private life private.
