Kasich strategist rips into Reince Priebus over Trump
CBS News ^ | September 18, 2016 | Erica Brown

RNC chair Reince Priebus is facing backlash after suggesting that former Republican presidential hopefuls considering a 2020 White House bid may face challenges if they refuse to support Donald Trump.

“People who agreed to support the nominee, that took part in our process, they used tools from the RNC,” Priebus told John Dickerson CBS News’ Face the Nation. “Those people need to get on board. And if they’re thinking they’re going to run again someday, I think we’re going to evaluate the process…and I don’t think it’s going to be easy for them”

In a fiery rebuttal, John Weaver, chief strategist for former GOP presidential candidate and current Ohio Gov. John Kasich, slammed Priebus.

Not sure he can succeed in that quest, however, he has moved neck-to-neck with him and Graham.

Hey John, you may want to fire your strategist.

Not doing you much good and to think you had to even hire one because you’re so bad at it.

Well, that says a lot.

What exactly is the "economic conservative meme," anyway?

I always saw Kasich as a big-government, open-borders globalist -- which means he's perfectly aligned with the Republican Party. I think the entire GOP gave up on the "economic conservative meme" around the time Ronald Reagan left office.

I wonder what K-Suck would be saying if he had won the nomination and Trump refused to support him?

Kasich
* doesn’t want to help the party
* doesn’t care about the will of the people
* doesn’t respect the party rules that determined the will of the people
* doesn’t keep his promise to the party

Why should anyone in the party care what he thinks?
Why should the party help him in the future?

“Those people need to get on board. And if they’re thinking they’re going to run again someday, I think we’re going to evaluate the process..”..........

The truth seems to have a way of getting their attention.

Kasich, Cruz, Bush are all really poor losers

If you don’t support the presidential nominee, that is going against the party.

I wouldn’t support Kasich for anything. I’ll vote for Sherrod Brown over John Kasich if that’s the choice in Brown’s reelection senate bid.

I’ll vote for ANYONE over Kasich in the republican primary.

John Weaver is a money-whore who ran McCain’s campaign into the ground until he was fired, overspent Jon Huntsman’s campaign until his father cut him off and Weaver was let go & his latest genius was trying to convince Kasich that he had a chance of winning anywhere outside of Ohio. The only difference was that Kasich was too stupid to figure out he was being gamed in order to line Weaver’s pockets. A really phony by all accounts!

Balanced budget, lower taxes, smaller government, less intrusion into the lives of citizens by government. Of course I am speaking of the conservative economic meme, not the Republican one.

Kasich did speak of all of those at one point in time of his career, especially early on. He seems to have abandoned that and only provides it lip service anymore because it is his only real selling point as I said previously. Perhaps it had always been strictly lip service all along, and stupid people like me believed him.

He certainly exposed himself as an open borders during this election cycle, however, not living in Ohio I was unaware of that fact prior to his Presidential campaign run.

Regardless, I would not support the man in any endeavor going forward. He has become like most politicians who are only in it for their own enrichment, and apparently the fastest and most reliable way in appeasing the oligarchs as either a Republican or Democrat who supports open borders.

I seem to recall a LOT of noise about Trump signing “the Pledge”. How about enforcing it on all the OTHERS who signed the pledge as well. . .

It’s ok. Priebus is an irredemable Deplorable. Kasich can treat him however he wants.

Kick Kasich out of the party.

He wants to talk like a Dem, he can go be a Dem.

C’mon Reince.

A lot of his “economic conservative” credentials date back to his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives during the Gingrich era. I’m not sure how closely he’s followed those principles as a governor (Ohio Freepers could give us a better idea of this).

Ole rinse and repeat has his own issues to deal with. Why does anyone care about Kasich or what he says or does, can anyone say has been?

Kasich is trying to overrun McCain as the most despicable RINO out there.

He is succeeding, beyond his wildest dreams. These egg sucking dog 🐶 RINOs are desperately trying to remain relevant. In that, they are failing miserably. 😄
