Prime minister expected to strike a 'very decided contrast' with predecessor in first General Assembly speech

No hard feelings, eh.

Canada, spurned not long ago at the United Nations, is once again staking out a coveted spot at the foreign policy dais.

Justin Trudeau will address the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, delivering his maiden speech as Canadian prime minister at the high-level diplomatic forum that had an acrimonious relationship with this country's previous government.

The 71st annual session of the largest diplomatic conference in the world presents the first opportunity in a decade for Canada to rebrand itself under a new Liberal leadership — not just as a global power broker, but as the progressive voice of international diplomacy.

KEYWORDS:
There will be no mistaking the inexperience and amateur diplomatic skills of Justin Trudeau with Stephen Harper's previous statesmanship. Harper thankfully gave the UN short shrift, while Trudeau will be taking selfies on the podium and extolling the virtues of a United Nations and like most socialist, he pines for a world controlled by and through the UN.

Don't know much about Mr Harper apart from a portion of a speech he made to the Australian Parliament.I must say that I was quite impressed with what I heard.OTOH,what little I know about Mr Trudeau leaves me particularly unimpressed.Particularly I wonder if Trudeau understands that the UN looks to Western democracies as being the sources of funding and nothing more.

He is following the footsteps of his father, which will end up doing the something. High interest rates and record levels debt.

Justin Trudeau is a dimpled, poofter who goes about Canada hugging discriminated racial minorities, while he does everything he can to prevent a rebound of Canada’s resource based economy.

The Canadian Dollar is at 70 cents on the USD, inflation is rampant in the Canadian economy because it imports most of its manufactured goods from abroad. The Canadian economy is IN the basement. Trudeau has prevented the unification of the Canadian economy by shafting every pipeline initiative in the nation.

Canadians will soon tire of Trudeau and will rid themselves of him at the ballot box.

If President Trump approved the much maligned heavy oil pipeline project, would Trudeau let it happen ?

The UN is GARBAGE!!!!

If Canada is dissed by the UN, she should be PROUD of it!!!!

Squirming around to become the “progressive voice of international diplomacy”—blah-blah-blah—is counterproductive in the extreme!!!! PHOOEY!!!!

I thought no country could choose a bigger lightweight than Obama. Then Justin Trudeau got elected.
