BEIRUT (Reuters) - Syria's army general command said warplanes from the U.S.-led coalition bombed a Syrian army position at Jebel Tharda near Deir al-Zor airport on Saturday, paving the way for Islamic State fighters to overun it.

The air strike killed Syrian soldiers and was "conclusive evidence" that the U.S. and its allies support the jihadist group, the Syrian army said in a statement, noting that the strike was "dangerous and blatant aggression".

The U.S.-led coalition has been conducting air strikes against Islamic State since September 2014. In December Damascus accused the coalition of striking an army camp near Deir al-Zor, but Washington said it was done by Russian jets.

A strike list issued by the U.S. on Saturday said it had carried out a strike at Deir al-Zor against five Islamic State supply routes, as well as strikes near Raqqa and elsewhere in Syria.

Wouldn’t surprise me.

And BTW, Why in the He** are we negotiating a cease fire with ISIS?

ISIS needs to be destroyed without mercy.

Not given an opportunity to re-group.

Obama using our military to actively support terrorists? We all know how unlikely that is . . . unfortunately.

Good suggestion. I am sick of it, too.

In Syria, foreign flags - British and US - are displayed by many opposition forces in order to make clear that they should not be attacked by “intervention” troops. What would be the reaction if Russian and Chinese flags were displayed in American towns, while foreign troops entered the country to support insurgents? It would be seen for what it is - blatant aggression.

Not just War Crimes against Obama and the Oligarchy. Genocide, Religious Cleansing and Ethnic cleansing have occurred in Syria as a result of actions by the DC Cartel and the EU Oligarchs.

When a tiny group of criminals use the machinery of the state to repeatedly and constantly commit crimes which threaten peace and stability both domestically and internationally, with impunity – that is tyranny.

Don’t kid yourself that this despotic outfit is willing to peacefully disband itself in response to the outcome of an election. If it does seem to happen smoothly, it just means we’re being played as usual. This election won’t actually change anything fundamentally unless it’s baptized in rivers of blood – we all know it at some generally unspoken level. We’re well off enough that virtually no one is willing to throw it all in the bonfire today for the sake of some unseen future, so this will be another hollow election no matter who “wins.”

Things just aren’t bad enough – yet.

So I guess next is a players union contract set up through the UN to expand free agency and define rules for endorsements? After all, Soldier of Fortune needs advertising space filled and it’s a competitive market.
