REUTERS: TRUMP CATCHES CLINTON IN ELECTORAL COLLEGE
YAHOO ^ | September 17,2016

Posted on 09/17/2016 9:11:32 AM PDT by Hojczyk

An election analysis conducted in the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project shows that the race has tightened considerably over the past few weeks, with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump projected to win Florida, an essential battleground state, if the election were held today.

The project, which is based on a weekly tracking poll of more than 15,000 Americans, shows that the 2016 presidential race could end in a photo finish on Nov. 8, with the major-party candidates running nearly even in the Electoral College, the body that ultimately selects the president.

The States of the Nation project, which delivers a weekly tally of support for the candidates in every state, shows that the race has tightened in several traditional battlegrounds. Pennsylvania has been moved from a likely win for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to a tossup; Ohio has been moved from a tossup to a likely win for Clinton.

And Florida is now considered a likely win for the Republican nominee, with 50 percent support for Trump to 46 percent support for Clinton. If the election were held today, the project estimates that Clinton has a 60 percent chance of winning by 18 electoral votes. Last week, the project estimated that Clinton had a 83 percent chance of winning the election.

Yup.

At this point, Trump’s real opponent is no longer Hillary. Its the MSM.

They can’t move Hillary’s numbers up so the only way for her to win is if they take out Trump for her.

They failed to do it yesterday and after their humiliation, they’ll keep on trying.

To them, Trump is so dangerous that he must be stopped at all costs.

Its no longer about electing Hillary.

Respectfully, no. This is a very fluid situation, and the first debate is a very big deal. The good thing is that all Trump has to do is show up and be an acceptable alternative to Clinton.

I’m informed by “political professionals” ( I am not one) that we should expect the Johnson/ Stein people to migrate back to the major parties - right now, they hurt Clinton more than Trump. Also, with the exception of Fox, the press is unified against Trump.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope you are right. We’ll see where the polls are next week, then after the first debate. If Trump has any kind of a lead, he will win.

The next two weeks are key to this campaign.

All of her hundreds of millions spent on non-stop ads, and she continues to lose support.

People have tuned out from her ads. The desperate overkill killed helped kill her chances.

Trump is ahead and Hillary can’t do anything about it.

Just like Jeb.

The smartest woman in the world made all the rookie political mistakes.

Apparently, Hillary’s loss to Obama didn’t teach her how to win.

All of her hundreds of millions spent on non-stop ads, and she continues to lose support.

Who watches broadcast commercial television anymore? There's plenty of circumstantial evidence that the media is losing influence, not the least of which is the Trump nomination itself. Add to that Hillary's abysmal book sales, poor campaign event turnout and inability to control the narrative and it's beginning to look a lot like America can be great again!

I don't trust the media covering media, by the way. They're whistling past the graveyard claiming that very few people are cutting the cord to cable TV. The deeper story is the loss of engagement with television as people switch to commercial free video streaming, games and web content.

The political disruptions since internet access became nearly universal after 2000 - the Tea Party, the Ron Paul campaigns, Bernie Sanders and Trump - prove that something has changed.

MAGA!

I thought Bloomberg AND CNN had Trump leading by 5 points in Ohio?

Actually, it’s a National Monument in Maine, created from 87,563 acres of land donated by liberal “Burt’s Bees” magnate Roxanne Quimby.

The local people did not want it.

Obama also created an undersea National Monument off the New England coast....3.2 million acres.....and fishing will be banned in this area. Strange, I live in Maine and have heard nothing on the local news about this.

Pickles Clinton leads Maine by 3 points, and in the 2nd congressional district, which in area is most of Maine, Trump leads by 10 points.

I haven’t seen a single Trump ad here; he could win the entire state if he blitzes the airwaves.

I haven’t seen any ads for Madam Clinton, either.

“With Obamas recent decision on a new national park in Maine and the fishing restrictions off the coast of NE, those states are now in play.”

I thought the timing of that quite odd, it’s something you would do AFTER an election.
I wonder if it’s subtle sabotage on the part of the Obama camp?
Nothing big but several strategic cuts that will hurt her chances.

If Trump can get under Clinton’s skin that thin veneer of civility she wears in public will crumble. Everyone will get to see the scheming, evil witch she really is.

Can he do that and remain Presidential? Not sure.

I betcha Mr. Trump had a big ol’ grin on his face when he saw that reddit guy’s poster and his campaign videographer guys’ montage of it and the Les Mis music!

Unless it’s a landslide, the theft in Bridgeport- which allowed out corrupt Gov to win twice, will make it very difficult to win CT
