My granddaughter, born in St. Louis Mo, but raised in Costa Rica had to pay out-of-state tuition for two years at San Diego State, while illegals got the much cheaper in-state tuition. On top of that, the University constantly gave her conflicting information on how she could establish state residency. “You have to be registered to vote, you have to have a California Drivers License, you have to have utility bills, etc. etc. You have all you need, but you filed too late for this semester.” It was all a ripoff.

The poor in the part of the world they come from still have the words and programs of Hugo Chavez as their goal. They believe tha Hugo failed because he didn’t live long enough and was sabotaged by the United States. Those with a good work ethic are not this far gone, not explicitly communist but they are still Hillary fans. Free has to be good.
Non USA citizens to not have USA Constitutional rights.
If they do, then USA citizenship means nothing as, effectively, everyone on the planet has USA Constitutional rights. Therefore USA citizenship as a distinct thing is non-existent.

So now, on top of doing the jobs Americans can no longer do because companies like Carrier and Ford relocated there, and besides coming up here to take jobs from American roofers, sheetrockers, concrete finishers etc., and as well as leeching from our social welfare system as much as they can, and keeping in mind that their cartels bring poison drugs and traffic in human beings and prostitute their fellow Mexican women and children here to service these men without women, and, as odd as it seems, gangbangers unwanted by Mexico’s, Honduras’ and El Salvador’s legal systems and admitted into this country as political refugees ... now our disgruntled, uninvited “guests” (described by Mexican president Nieto as “our citizens”) demand college scholarships that could go to legal immigrants or American kids.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous stories I’ve ever heard.
If they are having a protest, why isn’t the INS (or whatever department it is being called now) there? Seems like a target-rich environment.

Most Public Universities in Mexico have free tuition.
So why come to the United States where you have to pay, get a grant, scholarship or take out a student loan to go to college, when they can get a college degree for free in their native country?

This is all window dressing for publicity purposes by an Ivy League leftist school for wealthy progressives to proclaim solidarity with a political movement attempting to force state legislatures into providing free tuition at taxpayer funded schools for the children of illegals.
Elitist Ivy League schools will not be excluding the children of wealthy progressives in order to fill the hallowed halls with poor children from third world illegal immigrants. They’ll admit half a dozen illegals who will be unable to fit in socially or compete academically with the overwhelmingly white children of progressive wealthy alumni. A year later this program will be forgotten and Brown will be 100% focused on its mission of indoctrinating future young progressives so they can fill positions in Wall Street banks, multinational corporations, academia, the federal bureaucracy and top law firms.
The wealthy alumni of elite Ivy League schools aren’t going to diversify the classrooms at Brown and Harvard any more than they are going to let Section 8 multifamily homes be built in their neighborhoods.
