WASHINGTON Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin was certified Friday as a write-in candidate in Texas after fixing an eligibility hiccup that initially led the Texas secretary of state to deny his application.
...
In McMullins initial application, one of the 38 electors he submitted Brittany Gilbert of Austin was not a registered voter, said Alicia Pierce, a spokeswoman for Secretary of State Carlos Cascos. As a result, Gilbert was not an eligible elector, and McMullins application was denied.
But Keith Ingram, the secretary of states director of elections, wrote in a letter to McMullin on Friday that a replacement elector was offered in a timely manner pursuant to the Texas election code. McMullin's name will now appear on the list of declared write-in candidates for president, Ingram wrote, and his votes will be counted in the state.

Have you heard Johnson? He is open borders, for TPP, for gun control, thinks taxes should be raised......he and weld sound just like the dems
It’s an ideological thing. Mitt Romney is virulently anti-conservative. It runs in his family. His father behaved similarly with Reagan. Mitt Romney is more against grassroots conservatives than the Democrats. He always has been.
Trump is kicking butt is Texas— I hear that he is surging. GO TRUMP!!
Right, but voting for Gary Johnson or Egg McMuffin is a protest vote. You might as well at least “protest” with the candidate who’s going to crack 1% of the vote nationally; McMuffin won’t get but a few thousand votes.
I don’t care about either one of them....my comment was nothing but snark...in case you didn’t recognize it
What makes you think Romney's a factor in this? There are enough Establishment Republicans who don't like Trump even without Mitt Romney.
*** Are you kidding? There arent that many Mormons in TX. ***
Especially since the FLDS Compound in Eldorado was shut down.
Johnson..the un-Libertarian who would like to see cigarettes banned, but marijuana legal.
McMullin, a Mormon BYU grad, worked on Romney's campaign in 2012 and the guy backing McMullin's campaign, John Kingston, is close to Romney, and was a major backer of Romney's 2012 campaign. Romney, Senator Mike Lee, McMullin, and other Mormons have been plotting to thwart Trump and deprive him a win in Utah. So as to screw up his assumed and necessary electoral votes. Sinister crap from The Despicables: Rick Wilson, Stuart Stevens, Mitt Romney, Sen. Mike Lee, Evan McMullin, et al.
This disgusting, creepy, gelded tard Wilson is part of the group backing McMullin's stunt in Utah. Didn't think it possible, but they make Hillary & Co. look classy.
Romney is against Trump believe it or not, for religious reasons. The Mormons believe American Indians are actual Jewish.
You read that right. Mormons believe Am. Indians are Jews who came over on a boat from the mid east, and that open borders here has something to do with their misinterpretation of how the Jews will be restored to their land of inheritance.
Or something.
Anyway, they are violently anti sovereignty and open borders.
This is why the Christians among us, myself being one, believes Mormons will help usher in the counterfeit Christ, the antiChrist because they are so messed up with their freak system of beliefs.
The Mormons were called in the 19th Century, by no less than President john Quincy Adams, as the “Islam of the West”... and when you think about it...
Mormons think they get their own planet populated by in numerous wives when they die... Muslims think they get their own set of 72 virgins when they die...
It’s a very non-spiritual attitude to take about the afterlife, in any case. Very unholy.
But suffice it to say, Mitt hates Trump for his immigration stance because of his mormon beliefs. Someone on FR posted about this not that long ago; went into some detail.
Oh exactly
Bong Johnson and Egg McMuffin are both bought and paid for by the globalists with Mittens as their handler. In the end these guys together will be lucky to get 5% of the vote, and their main objective of stopping Trump will fail. Is McMuffin even campaigning?
