Range Anxiety(johnson/weld dummies)

The five-shot rifle, that’s a standard military rifle; the problem is if you attach a clip to it so it can fire more shells and if you remove the pin so that it becomes an automatic weapon, and those are independent criminal offenses. That’s when they become essentially a weapon of mass destruction. The problem with handguns is probably even worse than the problem of the AR-15. You shouldn’t have anybody who’s on a terrorist watch list be able to buy any gun at all.

I know, I know. It's snopes but never the less it's an entertaining piece for our amusement if nothing else. Johnson didn't say it but his running mate weld did so............. And when did 5 shot rifles become the standard military rifle? Bigger clip to fire more shells etc., etc., etc.................. Wonder if weld has a video on youtube on which pin we need to remove to make these full auto.

These also-running idiots are not smart enough to even be humerous. Though, Dr. Stein appears to be committing crimes and likely going to have a collection of arrest warrants hanging over her head for vandalism, etc.

And if you remove the hammer, it becomes capable of launching cruise missiles.

Side benefits is that the hammers can be used to destroy Blackberries.

The reality is a five-shot fully-automatic weapon would reduce deaths due to urban technique.
The gangbanger who would gravitate towards such a silly firearm would spend more time reloading than shooting.

Johnson-Weld sounds like a product developed for John Bobbitt.

I removed the buffer spring, and now mine launches school busses.

"And when did 5 shot rifles become the standard military rifle?"

Never? I believe the M1 used an 8 round clip. After than the standard Military rifle was an M-14 which used a magazine rather than a "clip" and it generally held 20 rounds. It was replaced by the M-16 which is essentially a selective fire version of the AR-15, , the most popular civilian sporting rifle sold today.

Most Mausers use five round stripper clips.

I thought he was referring to standard “American” military rifles. (but those Mausers are pretty sweet rifles)

5 shots as “standard?”

Last time that was true in the US was when the Springfield 1903 bolt action rifle was standard issue, BEFORE WW2.

In WW2, we had the M1 Garand (8-shot clip - and that was ACTUALLY a clip, not a magazine), and issued the Thompson submachine gun and the M1 Carbine to many troops, both of which had stick magazines of 30 rounds.

The Brits had the 10-shot bolt action Lee Enfield rifle as standard...in WW2.

The Soviets had the 5-shot bolt action Mosin Nagant rifle (in many variants)...until they started issuing the SKS in 1943, with its 10-round fixed magazine, and the AK-47 in (surprise) 1947 with a 30-round box magazine standard.

The Germans used a 5-shot K-98 Mauser bolt action rifle for most of WW2, then started switching to a box magazine-fed true “assault rifle” late in the war.

So, for all of the anti-gunners out there, and those simply ignorant of the history of firearms, the last time a major power had a 5-shot standard loading for military rifles was during WW2 - and this country started with the semi-auto, 8-round, M1 Garand in 1936. FYI, the Garand could and can be reloaded very quickly, potentially faster than a box magazine because there are fewer operations necessary to the reloading process. So, ye uninformed, read some history and get ahold of some actual FACTS before spouting off...

...and, in any case, we’re simply not giving up our AR-15s, AR-10s, M1As, AK-47s (in semi-auto), etc., etc., etc. They, and we, are here to stay - get used to us. Cuz if’n you want to take them, you’re going to need to bring a LOT of body bags for your own people.

Let’s make this easy. You can’t buy a gun, you can’t vote. Or come into our country. Let things settle down for twenty years or so.

Humorous. Humerus is an arm bone. Humerous would be referring to a humerus.
