They mirror the statewide demographic. Some counties mirror the national demographic.
IN’s Vigo is a famous example of the latter.
Apparently you missed the previous 21 postings on this thread. These counties are representative of the voting patterns of the state at large and are usually dead on accurate with the final vote. So yeah, they say a lot about the state. If you had bothered to see the results that Axiom published against the 08 and 12 numbers you might have realized how representative these counties actually are.
Trump has big leads upstate and in the collar counties downstate.
NYC is the 800 lb gorilla in the room. For Trump to win NY, he must hold Hillary’s margin out of NYC down to 60-65%.
Tough but doable and that now appears within reach.

Larry. While just released today, these surveys were completed 9/6-9/7 so these do not include the Deplorables comment or Weekend at Hiilary’s damage.
Where are you seeing the single digit NY poll? Last i saw was Emerson Clinton +18 in NY
So these results, great as they are for Trump, are from BEFORE HRC's "deplorable" remarks on Friday and BEFORE her seizure and collapse on Sunday. Those events aren't even factored in here!

Let's put it this way, if the situation was reversed and it was Trump on the other side of these polls, we would be pretty despondent around here.

Bingo. Surveys completed a week ago and just released today. I am shocked at both Luzerne and Northampton. Very good tradewinds in PA for Trump.

Fairfax county has been the death of a lot of republicans for the last 20 years.
We have to be careful about A premature victory. As I recall two weeks ago Hillary had the biggest lead ever imaginable to the point that they were already measuring curtains for the White House! In politics anything can change from day to day in a heartbeat!

Door County is a tourist area with lots of B&Bs, hotels, and the permanent residents who own/run them are probably to the left of even Madistan. At one time it was the area where rich Chicagoans had their summer homes. Typical of Wisconsin, hell no!
