One expert witness, Paul Rosenzweig, predicts fireworks during the First Panel:
"I will be testifying as well, but on the second panelthe fireworks will be on the first panel, I'm sure."
The first panel will include many in favor of multinational oversight for ICANN, and the questioning will likely get hot.
While many in congress trust President Obama's plan, Paul Rosenzweig noted: "The Chairmen of the four relevant committees (Senate and House, Judiciary and Commerce), however, have called for the administration to reconsider its decision."
** Get that -- ALL FOUR chairmen [who are most informed about the controversy], and yet a few RINOs act as sand in the gears to help the democrats farm out internet oversight to some global organization. **
While the Second Panel might not be as fiery I hope to obtain a transcript of Paul Rosenzweig's testimony.
His articles in Heritage have been published all the way back to 1977. He's one of those wicked-smart kind of guys who Wikipedia frequently mentions and yet I can't find a page in Wikipedia that covers his bio. [Do they fear his intellectual firepower that much?]
He's been deep in Homeland Security and Cyber-Security for a long time.
[I'll post more in-depth about him in a followup post.]
Relevant to this hearing, he wrote:
Cyber Warfare: How Conflicts in Cyberspace are Challenging America and Changing the World and of two video lecture series from The Great Courses, Thinking About Cybersecurity: From Cyber Crime to Cyber Warfare and The Surveillance State: Big Data, Freedom, and You.
He is also a co-editor of two other relevant books:
1. Whistleblowers, Leaks and the Media: The First Amendment and National Security.
2. National Security Law in the News: A Guide for Journalists, Scholars, and Policymakers.

What Paul Rosenzweig thinks:
He's suggesting a compromise: a trial period to see how things work out before permanently releasing ICANN to international control. He's also been offering suggestions in the planned 'accountability' process which Obama plans.
So Rosenzweig is an insider. And this is his opinion:
He and other insiders suggest caution.
"There are many unanswered questions that, in my view, need answering before the transition takes place." -- Paul Rosenzweig
I know. It’s ridiculous.
Just saw on Fox the idiots mocking the issue (Brett Baier and some silly male reporter).
Stop whining and start fighting.
And one thing is for certain whatever Obama plans we should view as IEDs ready to hurt someone or something important.

The way you put this is a perfect metaphor to describe almost everything that fraud has done since the low-information voters first elected him.
Another fine mess for Mr. Trump to have to clean up.
....they’re going to shoot off fireworks when the president gets his way?
That’s not unexpected.
