If a President Trump thinks he’s going to have nothing by allies on the Republican side of the aisle in Congress then he’s going to be sadly disappointed. Ryan and McConnell both think they can control the agenda, and when they find out that they can’t then they aren’t going to be very helpful.
“Ryan and McConnell both think they can control the agenda, and when they find out that they cant then they arent going to be very helpful.”
Yeah, just like they are “controlling the agenda” right now? They are like a couple of one-legged men in an ass kicking contest. And wait until they try to go up against President Trump and find him on prime time TV castigating them for their ongoing obstructionism. Buy popcorn stock! You will get rich!
John Bonher and Eric Cantor thought the same thing. Where are they now?
They might get in line when they have a real leader. Trump will always offer a carrot along with a stick.
Quite true. The Quislings Ryan and McConnell, once they learn to their dismay that Trump is not like them - i.e., is not corruptible - will do everything in their power to keep his agenda from bearing fruit.
