Vanity: Of Course - This is why Trump held back with the advertisements

Posted on 09/12/2016 8:15:44 AM PDT by Jeff Chandler

Why in the world would he waste a lot of money on ads attacking a candidate who he knows is too sick to make it all the way. It would like like betting on a three-legged race horse.

After the Communists slip Slow Joe in there, he can blast him with advertisement.

One way or another the Dems are going to LOSE in a Trump LANDSLIDE. She SEALED her election defeat twice in two Hillary incidents this past weekend, name calling Trump’s supporters and afterwards yesterday at the 9/11 Memorial Service she ends up having to leave early because she took sick and that took away from remembering those who died on that day. With growing concerns in regards to ISIS and Syrian refugees, this is the LAST thing she should do.

You’ve got that right. My son is a college student and his friends that were Bernie supporters will not vote for Shrillary. They are bitter and they certainly wouldn’t vote for Biden. Luckily my kid has common sense and is voting for Trump. :)

Correction, twice in one weekend.

Wouldn't it be like the Miss Universe Pageant [snip] Bernie was First Runner Up.

I can't get both "Miss Universe" and "Bernie" into my brain at the same time. I think I am going to short circuit.

if Miss Universe cannot fulfill her duties for any reason, the First Runner Up will assume the role?

The contrast with this situation aesthetically is almost alarming, but I digress. I think the 'beest is already on the ballot and the deadlines are past pretty much everywhere. Anyone have chapter and verse on this?

That's if the law were going to be followed, of course. . . At this point, I do think it would be too difficult to get enough corrupt officials at every level, and no significant push-back from the populace, for the Communist--er, Democratic--Party to put a new name on the ballot to replace Pillory if she falters now.

I also remember that simultaneously in Hawaii, Representative Patsy Mink died a month before the election, but Democrats demanded she remain on the ballot and she won posthumously.

A special election was then called, instead of disqualifying votes for her and declaring the living candidate (meaning the Republican) the outright winner and avoiding the cost of a second election.

Joe Biden is a very clever and dangerous opponent.

Calling him “Slow Joe” is a sign of dangerous overconfidence.

Biden, your kidding, ‘Uncle Joe’??? Really, and you don’t think Trump has already thought of this???

Believe what you want. When it happens, I'll accept your apology for refusing to accept there are some possibilities that, while I'm certain they've been considered by the Trump campaign, are indeed obstacles that may be difficult to overcome. Calm the hell down. Relax. Chill out. Take a pill.

I believe Trump will win. I'm just keeping my head in reality.

And the same thing with Mel Carnahan in the Senate. He died in a plane crash a few weeks before the election. Being dead, notes for him should have been disqualified hut Democrats kept him on the ballot and he won. The governor appointed his wife to fill the seat instead of declaring the living Republican John Ashcroft as the winner.

Ashcroft chose not to contest the election. Then, the widow Carnahan voted against confirming Ashcroft as Attorney General.

You sound like you remember, as I do, the 2002 NJ Senate election where Robert Torricelli dropped out because his corruption was caught. It was after the deadline to replace a candidate, but the corrupt NJ Supreme Court allowed former Senator Lautenberg to be placed on ballot, and he won.

Exactly. I wouldn't put it past them to try this again. The ultimate question is, will lightning strike twice for them? I sincerely hope not.

It may not. That may actually be the Left’s best option: vote for the dead (amusing turnabout), then move the VP up.
As I review, seems it’s really a state by state matter. No national solution.

A lot of Bernie voters will not turn out for Biden. A lot of Obama voters will not turn out for Biden.

I'd be willing to bet that more of them would turn out for Biden than they will for Hitlery.

“You don’t recover from Congestive Heart Failure or Parkinson’s you just keep getting worse.”

Never say never, my own mother who was a nurse recovered from congestive heart failure and died many years later from cancer. When she had her last operation for cancer the doctor who did the surgery said that he was only willing to do the surgery because of the ONE thing she had going for her at that time, A VERY STRONG HEART. This after getting off a list of medications she had been taking for her heart for years.

I think the main reason is more basic. Trump is smart. Why should he waste money on ads in the summer, when people are out barbecuing, camping and vacationing, not watching TV? Now that it’s September, the audience has come back inside. It’s time to run the ads.

That’s because it is a state by state election. The national part starts with the Congressional counting of EVs. Even election day is now no longer national, with states having differing rules on ‘early voting’.

Both parties are in agreement about how a candidate is replaced. Laws at the state or national level can be changed if needed, but it will be by agreement of the Uniparty.

Ashcroft chose not to contest the election. Then, the widow Carnahan voted against confirming Ashcroft as Attorney General.

That in a nutshell summarizes EXACTLY how Democrats play the game. To those who delude themselves calling for greater civility and decency in our politics, those things all died in 1972 when the Democrats adopted Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals as their official playbook.

“Hillary is not stepping aside,”

I agree...both of them, the Grifters Bill and Hillary, won’t give up. In fact, what I see is them doubling down, trying anything to get the lead back; this will get nasty.

In 2008, when it started to look like Obama was running away with the nomination, Bill jumped off the PC wagon and got real dirty and pulled the reverse race card. It backfired on them badly; the MSM jumped all over them to protect their new diversity candidate.

We are seeing a complete repeat of 2008. Team Grifter see her poll numbers tanking, so they roll out the old Alinsky playbook; Bill calls us bitter, racist white people and Hillary calls us deplorable and hopeless.

Just as in 2008, 2016 will bring the same result; voters smell desperation a mile away. And who’s idea was it to send HildaBeast to the 9/11 Memorial looking like Dr. Strangelove:

Even the name of the movie fits her like a glove: Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

HRK - “Hillary Rodham Kamikaze” has target acquisition and will not, repeat, will not bow out... for selfish reasons. It is her nature. The good of the Jackass party be damned.

I’m thinking that by the end of the week the jackass party could be at a crossroads with this.
