Politicizing Anti-Semitism on the campaign trail
Arutz Sheva ^ | 9-5-16 | Matthew M. Hausman, J.D

Posted on 09/12/2016 5:39:40 AM PDT by SJackson

As the 2016 presidential season heats up, Jewish Democrats are elevating partisan politics over concern for Israel and distorting their party’s and Hillary Clinton’s record on the Jewish State. They dismiss Donald Trump as unqualified, and in order to dissuade Jews from voting Republican have accused him of arousing populist anti-Semitism.

Trump’s bombast and lack of experience may well be legitimate concerns, but Democrats who accuse him of anti-Semitism conveniently ignore the hatred for Jews and Israel that has become common on the left and in their own party. Those who defend BDS activism as political speech and indulge false accusations of Israeli apartheid should look in the mirror before wielding the fear of anti-Semitism as a political weapon.

Progressive Jews are oblivious to anti-Semitism when it comes from the left, and sometimes they are complicit. During the Democratic National Convention they tolerated the presence of BDS supporters – including Cornell West and James Zogby – on the platform committee, ignored chants of “the intifada lives” by hostile crowds who burned Israeli flags just outside the convention center, and overlooked anti-Israel comments by Palestinian flag-wavers.

None of this should be surprising given their unwavering support for Barack Obama – a president who’s had longstanding relationships with anti-Semites, who has shamelessly demonized Prime Minister Netanyahu using classical tropes, and whose policies have empowered Islamists, undermined Israel and enabled Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Partisan blindness has compromised their moral authority to accuse anyone of anti-Semitism by association.

If Jewish Democrats really cared about Israel, they wouldn’t be Democrats.

Can I be the only Jew for Trump here?-)

When Donald opened his club in Palm Beach called Mar-a-Lago, he insisted on accepting Jews and blacks even though other clubs in Palm Beach to this day discriminate against blacks and Jews.

No offense, but Jewish Americans should care about America first and Israel second.
Of course, if they cared about the US, they wouldn’t be Democrats, either.

You have a splinter in your eye. I have a log in mine. Oops. I mean—this is a vicious anti-Christian attack, and all I can say is I have a splinter in your eye. You have a log in mine. There.

Very good article here by Mr. Hausman.

From this Jewish perspective, the 'Rats accusing Trump of antisemitism is insane. It projects their own collective antisemitic and anti-Israel tendencies onto their opponent.

Aside from the examples cited in the article, Hillary Rodham Clinton was witnessed to go into at least two spontaneous and vicious antisemitic tirades against political advisors to Bill Clinton in Arkansas. The first was against Bill's congressional campaign director upon losing his 1974 race - the campaign manager was not even Jewish, but he had one Jewish great-grandparent. The second was against Dick Morris. Add this to the later incidents in her public life as cited in the article, and it makes a reasonable argument that HRC as an antisemitic individual herself

By contrast, we know of no events in which Donald Trump has participated where any kind of antisemitic activity or anti-Israel activity. can reasonably be seen. We know that two of his sons and one of his daughters are married to Jewish spouses and that his grandchildren are being raised Jewish without any rejection by him. And Trump's business organization contains a large pergentage of Jewish executives at the highest levels.

Look at the star of David that appeared in the tweet!

I know you are being facetious about this, but an attack on Trump for posting that tweet with the RED six-pointed star, which was alleged to be a star of David, just shows what ignoramuses these lefty 'Rats are.

As far as I know, a star of David must be light to medium blue in color, as is the star on the flag of Israel.

It can really be any old color, though blue is popular. But really, the only reason the whole episode was ever relevant was to illustrate how the Dems and Libtards jump on every possible pretext to call Republicans racist, sexist, homophobic or anti-Semitic, no matter how trivial, but remain stone blind to rabble-rousing Sheikhs and Imams, Nation of Islam speakers, leftist columnists, and happenings in the Middle East, which illustrate starkly how utterly anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist and (even tho in slightly different terms) racist they and their pals are. If you call them on Islamic anti-Semitism, they call you Islamophobic, and drown you out with angry chimp noises as they throw crap at you from the treetops. People have died for their folly, and probably will again in the highly (to everyone but them) foreseeable future.
