They’d never nominate Bernie.

It would probably be Biden or Lurch. Someone with name recognition who could keep the election from being a humiliating disaster.

Something tells me though Hillary would not go quietly.

The problem with Biden and Lurch are that the establishment won’t get likely behind those. Biden is a well known nutso-quantity, and there are many — including Gowdy (who said Impeachment of Obama is off the table because “Have you MET Joe Biden)? — who know it. Lurch has a failure on his record, fatal in national politics. I could be wrong; I often am.

I wouldn’t disagree with any of that.

I still think Bernie is the guy everyone got to view. They chose him second only to hILLery.

Something tells me though Hillary would not go quietly.

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution describes a possible scenario like the following:

Vice-President (to the President): "You're too messed up to discharge the powers of the presidency."

President (to the Vice-President): "No, I'm not."

Vice-President (to the President): "Yes, you are.

...

The Amendment prescribes a complicated ceremony to decide the matter.

The question that may come up shortly is, what happens if an exchange such as that above occurs before the election? Unless the parties have already set up some process to deal with this, then as long as the candidate is still breathing and speaking (at least most of the time), it's difficult to see how the candidate could be forced out.
