Hillary Clinton’s campaign is urging her surrogates to blame the media for having a double standard if they're pressed about her derogatory dig at "half" of Donald Trump supporters being "deplorables," The Washington Post reports.
According to the Post, the advice is contained in a memo, "'Deplorable' Comment Talking Points," sent out Saturday afternoon to Democrats preparing for TV interviews or other appearances on Clinton's behalf.
Clinton on Saturday expressed "regret" for being “grossly generalistic" and using the characterization of "half" – even as she insisted Trump is amplifying bigoted views.
But the memo says Clinton has "apologized" – a word she didn't use – for saying "most" rather than "some" – and that "obviously not everyone supporting Trump is part of the alt right," the Post reports.
"If pushed," surrogates should shame the media, the memo advises, according to the Post.
"I think we can all agree that if Donald Trump said something controversial about Clinton supporters, it wouldn’t have been in his top 10 list of offensive statements in day," the advice reads, the Post reports.
"It’s well past time the press stopped grading Trump on a curve. So is the press going to cover this story in the right [context], or are they going to hold Hillary to a different standard again? Are they going to make more out of this story than they made out of the racist, misogynistic Trump comments that got us here in the first place

The context was about reconciliation out some such, then she promptly dissed 1/4 of Americans, then the “apology” was about the quantity instead of the dis.
She started using that term earlier in the week as this interview on Israel TV proves it. That was going to be her scripted comment for the week for all her surrogates to use

If so, then it should be easy to prove. The mediots have been scrutinizing Trump with an Election[sp] Microscope, and had he made a statement analogous to the one Pickles made, it would be trumpeted 24/7 by the drive-bys.
Maybe the Pickles camp is just lying again.
It looked like she read the comments off a teleprompter. Plus, reported that she said this to journalists in meetings.
They always come up with these scripted comments. That is what that was. They were going to use that for a period of time. Somebody on her campaign will walk the plank for coming up with that term. You can bet she had been using that her close door fund raisers for sometime and the people attending like it so much that she became Bolder and used it publicly.
She was wrong to say “most”. She meant all.
This lady is nuts. Why doesn’t someone ask her specifically.
1. How do plan to grow the economy? Increase Taxes or decrease taxes?
2. Give us the names of 5 or 6 SCOTUS nominees of yours.
3. Will you deport illegal immigrants who have broken the laws, ie violent criminals, drug dealers etc?
4. Lastly, please give us 3 or 4 hard choices that you’ve had to make.
The first part of this interview if clear as always going after Trump. How does this work? AT some point shouldn’t you tell us what you intend to do, and what you’ve done?
It’s well past time the press stopped rolling adoring fan oranges to Hillary.

I have personally never been insulted to the extent that Clinton did in her Deplorables Fundraiser. The vitriolic language and demeanor towards fellow Americans was disgusting.
And her rich sycophants laughed, cheered and donated.

So now we’re getting to the gist of this. It was a ploy to bait the media, then charge the media that they aren’t being fair.
