fficers say the attacker repeatedly stabbed a 59-year-old man in a suburban park and then tried to stab a policeman.

A large knife has been seized from the accused, who will appear in court later on Sunday.

The victim, who was reportedly walking his dog in the park, suffered injuries to his body and hands, and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Although the authorities say they believe the attacker was inspired by IS, they do not think he has close ties to any extremist organisation.

"This is the new face of terrorism. This is the new face of what we deal with," New South Wales state police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn said.

0bama is importing them here. He seems to be acting on his hatred for the USA who he sees as a colonialist, imperialist country who prospered at the expense of the rest of the world. A quote from his book: “White folks’ greed runs a world in need.”

In my youth, places like New Zealand, Australia, and the scandanavian countries were looked at with a bit of awe and skepticism. High tax rates yet a high standard of living. They were also racially singular, and it suited them for well over a thousand years. Then came the polluters, that convinced the youth that a good injection of goat herding sand dweller was just the ticket.

Every Muslim is a potential danger. Never turn your back and always keep your guard up. Sudden Jihad Syndrome can happen at any moment.

Turned in ALL yer guns—eh?

No pistol-thingies atall-atall!

How’s that a-workin’ for ya—eh??

It does make life a LOT easier for yer home-grown terrorists, though.

No, we didn't.

Take a look at this website for an Australian gun shop and ponder how a business like that could survive in a country with no guns.

We have our share of dumb gun laws - more than our share in fact - but this myth that has been spread through America than guns were banned in Australia is really quite ridiculous and just plays into the hands of the anti-gun people.

Supposedly this guy was a top student and top bloke until he got in with certain people. There does not seem to be enough interest in closing down radical Mosques in Sydney. Maybe it’s easier to be able to monitor all the local crazy Muslims in just a couple of places.

Pretty disappointed here that the local Police were given information on this guy and they did not turn it over to the federal terrorist taskforce. Makes me wonder whether PC BS had anything to do with that.

The people who were in his street and being accosted by his radical preaching should also have been wise enough to call him in. Of course they may have been infected by the lie that Islam is a religion of peace.

All up a major failure to pass on information on this guy. That being said the latest pronouncement from Isis would encourage people like this to act alone and impulsively so as to allow them the greater possibility of success. I’m actually surprised there are not more of them happening.
