This takes some careful treatment. Because otherwise you will be saying “salute the country, because we will bully you to do so if you don’t.”

We wish Brandon well on his future endeavors," the company said.
There was no need to add that remark.

There will be many interpretations on that, perhaps by the lawyers to prevent any "malicious" intent (if such a reason exists in law). I'd prefer to think it was corporateze (?) for "Don't let the door . . .". Or just akin to the inane "Have a nice day." Or . . .

They’re relying on the fanatics being so addicted to the sport that they’re willing to take their chances.

They may be right - even a lot of freepers will be tuning in this weekend.

And with no consequences this will spread.

“GB Packers and coach made contributions to local police foundation”

Good job by them! Giants coach McAdoo has had the players, and all coaches and staff, stand at attention lined up along the sideline when the Anthem plays.

Oh Bull Shit!! I am not a religious person but I do show respect when others in my presence bow their head in prayer. It is a matter of respect for others and for our country.

Let’s see...A few NFL players are protesting because a very few police officers may have acted very badly when the vast majority of police officers act just fine.

And now a few football fans are boycotting because a very few football players are protesting when the vast majority of players are acting just fine.

Alrighty then.

Hmmmmmm...I rather think it's an equivalent statement of:

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!!!

Contrary to what you hear, NFL employees on the playing field, are NOT heros!

Yes, they face some adversity, for money.
Yes, there might be a gaggle of hostile linemen looking to do damage, for pay.

The grunt in the firefight for his life is not there for the money.
The Fireman running into a burning building is not looking for a performance bonus.

I do recall one game, Detroit-Chicago forty years back, there was a KIA!
They said it was a preexisting condition, could happened any time.
One time in many years!
Sadly I see more in the news of our Police and Military most days.

Paid Hessians and paid to be good citizens, may not work out so well.

But, but....Obama said protesting is a good thing...and in the next breath said he doesn't agree with what he did.

How the hell does that work??

"I understand what you’re trying to do. But understand, take the flag out of it." -- NFL commentator and former All-Pro linebacker Ray Lewis

For all his tainted history, Ray Lewis sounds more like a voice of precious wisdom with every passing week. In this case, he probably knows that these idiots are going to do incalculable damage to the issues they're allegedly protesting about.

The NFL is a tremendous symbol of American Patriotism.

I think all of these protester players should show us that they are really serious and quit the NFL.

Then we will know you are serious. Until then.......pffft.
