Watched Mika on Morning Joe today. She said, almost quoting, “Hillary is so smart and has all these sophisticated policies that she has to talk down to that idiot to even get her point across.”

Trump, IMHO, is going to mop the floor with her in the debates. Pence is going to DESTROY Kaine, as well.
Who started the rumor that Hillary Clinton is so smart??? Was it the same person who started a similar rumor about how intelligent Barack Obama is? Never ever before has so much been promised and so little delivered for both of them. Reminds me of the hype for the movie Ishtar. Remember how much hype there was for that movie and how bad it was?

David Gergen’s criticism of Hillary’s performance in the Lauer forum is surprising if he is being sincere. But, Gergen, being a political prostitute, is probably contributing to Hillary’s strategy to lower expectations for the debates.
Low expectations for performance are preferable.
I hate the guy myself, but obviously for different reasons.
I see him as a male Memememegyn Kelly, nor averse to the "Gotcha, irrelevant question" temptation.
There’s an old joke which at the moment I can’t recall in totality but the punchline is “you is who you is”. She is who she is and that’s what America will see in the debates. And she will likely hoark up a lung.
