Sources: Bill Nojay committed suicide in cemetery

Sources tell News10NBC that Assemblyman Bill Nojay has committed suicide.

Officers were called to the Riverside Cemetery on Lake Avenue around 9:20 Friday morning for reports of shots fired. Sources say Nojay, 59, was found dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The New York Daily News reports Nojay was at his family burial plot.

Investigator Frank Camp says officers saw a man shoot himself. At this time investigators are not making a connection to Bill Nojay. The investigation is ongoing.

We're told Nojay was supposed to turn himself in on Friday for fraud charges. According to a report from the Khmer Times of Cambodia, he and three others convinced a woman to invest in a company that would send rice to the U.S. The woman claims that eight months after sending her investment she learned the company was bankrupt.

Riverside is situated along the Genesee River not far from the estuary with Lake Ontario; in some locations it is steep, canyon like.

Police sent to "check on the welfare", and an arriving police officer observed the incident.

Of course you weren't calling my wife stupid, because you didn't even know she was a dispatcher. I am calm, and that was really just offered up as a joke. To answer your question, to work. She works 12 hour days, with 1 month during the day and the next month during the night. So she is currently on he night shift month. She fought to get the 12 hour shift adopted and implemented because it means 1 week she works 5 days (Mon, Tues, Fri. Sat. Sun.) and the next week 2 days (Wed. and Thur.).

Now if they find more than 1 gunshot wound and it's still ruled a homicide, then it might be a Clinton victim, LOL.

He was the strongest voice for Conservatism in Upstate NY
Excellent sense of humor,strong supporter of NRA, SCOPE, and 2nd Amendment rights.
His political commentary helped expand local conservative radio station from a couple of stations to 14 stations heard in Northern Pa.,Southern Tier, to beyond Utica/Rome.
He was the conservative voice of political reason and called the situation as he saw it, even calling out the downstate NYC RINO's for the DemoRat-lite that they are.
