Pence drew parallels Thursday morning between Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan, casting Trump as the inheritor of Reagan’s political legacy.

I'm sure glad most of the Cruzers are gone or there would be a big food fight over this.

This is the first time since 1984 that I am enthusiastic about voting.

Amnesty was a mistake. Choosing G.H. for V.P. was another.

Well we know one area where Trump won’t be emulating Reagan and that’s on immigration because Trump ain’t supporting AMNESTY! You want to piss off a NeverTrumper/Cruzer. Remind them of the one huge mistake Reagan made. These people think they’re the only ones who are protecting the Reagan legacy and they sure as hell hate to be reminded The Gipper signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act back in 1986 i.e. amnesty into law.

So many parallels between Reagan & Trump!

Lot of parallels between Trump & JFK, also.

There are some differences between populist Trump and conservative Pence.

But they work well together and admire each other. If policy is personnel, Pence was Trump’s best decision.

Pence spoke to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA. He’s also going to fundraisers in LA and OC.

He’s not campaigning there as no Republican will win CA - not in my lifetime.

No he doesn’t. Reagan is dead, and most politicians of any influence are nothing like him.

Trump may be an outsider that flips the table and aggravates the elitist scum who think they’re nobility, but he’s yet to prove anything else really.

Considering the alternative is the personification of everything wrong with America, that’s all he really needs to be.

While no one can replace the “Great Communicator”, we have to realize that we have an opportunity to KEEP OUT of the White House the Clintons. Let us take that opportunity.

i agree to a degree..

one thing in comparison to the two men’s character is Trump does not have Reagan’s suave charm at communication. i think they both have/had an unshakable and unapologetic patriotism. They both have/had a sly and intelligent wit - but Reagan was better in the delivery. but in all fairness Reagan was an actor - a trained communicator and Trump is a Business man.

I still think if we can manage to elect Mr. Trump and he stays on his toes (and adheres to his integrity) he will go down in history as one of our finest Presidents.

just my two cents...
