Gary Johnson is Progressive, Not Libertarian
Capitol Hill Outsider ^ | Aug 25, 2016 | J B Williams

Posted on 09/07/2016 11:04:52 AM PDT by Trump_vs_Evil_Witch

The “never Trump” sycophants are so blinded by their personal envy of Donald Trump that they appear willing to support progressive Gary Johnson in order to help Hillary Clinton take the White House from Trump, who has set records in Republican voter support winning 38 of 50 state Republican primaries.

Let’s see. Fair Tax, School Choice, Free Trade, Term Limits, Free Market approach to Health Insurance, Medicare/Medicaid to the States, Strongly Pro Second Amendment, Pro Small Government, eliminate Dept Of Education, Dept of Commerce, HUD, minimum wage. Those sound progressive.

That’s not what he is espousing

Try open borders, TPP, Internet giveaway, more taxes, more drugs, gun control

Johnson is the Clintoon’s feeble attempt at a Perot Part II. The irony is Trump is the true Perot this time - not gonna bail out because of goofy fabricated family threats like HR did!

At the time I suspected that Perot's stories about the threats from the Bush family were either paranoia or just made up.

After seeing how much power the Bush clan and their cronies have in the slimy world of politics, I wouldn't put it past them to use blackmail and threats against their political enemies.

No. You need to listen to Gary on the campaign trail

The border is priority one. You do not have a country without bordets. Johnson is and always has been in favor of open borders

You’re spot on, but I suggest: don’t bother. The (R) has their own voluntary plantation workers whom no one can sway their zealotry.

“(L) are the new (D)!”, and the like...but it’s not been a (L) Congress that doubled the debt. It was the (R) that gave us the TSA, DHS, NSA, etc., not the (L) party. Still, some here LOVE to raise the (L) boogey-man, as if they managed the switches behind the curtains (ala Soros).

Still, GJ was the reason I changed to (I). The (L) have lost themselves in a big way, and I could no longer call it ‘mine’ (and, no, I will not go (R). At least I KNOW the (L) haven’t, until recently, paid the platform lip service..unlike the 40+yrs. of the other).

Gary Johnson's a guy from the 1970s, a pre-Reagan liberal Republican or a Jimmy Carter Democrat.

The changes that came along in the '80s passed over him without effect.

That he's not an orthodox libertarian isn't the worst thing about him, and may even be a plus.

The more people get to know him, the less they'll like him.

The Libertarian candidate in the 1980 election ran as a “low-tax liberal”. It seems they have come full circle.

He’ll probably syphon off as many RATS as he does Republicans.

Sorry, but stop projecting your vested personal goals and psychological issues onto us. Donald Turmp is an infantile, narcissistic, progressive con man openly lying to conservatives and mocking our principles. On his best day, he is doing an impression of Archie Bunker in a silly con that has confused the naive and those wishing to be led. He is Sulla to Obama's Marius, except without a record of national service.
Gary Johnson is a pot smoking cheap progressive.

I have no envy of Donald Trump. He's gauche, jejune, and a parody of nouveau riche schlock. I don't hate him or his family. I went to school with Donald Jr. and played tennis with Chris. If you want to support him, because you think he is a conservative, make a case that he is a conservative. If you want to support him because he is the Republican nominee and alternative, go for it. My vote in meaningless in NYC. In 2000, I protest voted Bush by supporting Buchanan on immigration.

But whatever you do, don't presume to project your emotional deficiencies onto us. You won't like an adult responding to this puerile screed.

You might want to try that yourself. Read about Johnson’s running mate Weld. I am closer to being a libertarian than either of those two schmucks and I am not libertarian.
