“It was just a rock.”
I wonder how many people would weep over this if it had fallen on its own?

He said the group claimed that they did a favor by knocking the rock down. Had they gotten injured in the process, they would have sued the State!

I'm surprised the one who supposedly broke his leg climbing on it didn't try to sue. That after he climbed a fence to get to it.

“Uncanny likeness to a duck’s bill”? It didn’t look anything like a duck’s bill.

It should not be difficult to track down people who have been treated for a broken leg in the area lately, then identify their friends. Just a little effort I imagine.

We have them all over the desert and especially in Sedona. They bring us a lot of joy, but maybe we’re just easy to make happy. I’m conservative but this infuriates me.

To liberals, in much the same way “guns” are responsible for gun violence, and “SUVs” are responsible for global warming, an inanimate rock formation is responsible for a broken liberal leg.

In Sedona, most folks in AZ are familiar with a short, serene hike to find "Buddha Beach". The little stacks of stones have many names, they get knocked over by the weather and rebuilt as frequently by the many visitors. I've built probably 50 or so in my visits. May not seem like much but they are a welcoming site every time I'm there. It's one of those places where seemingly everyone is in a good mood. Anyway, natural or not, these little things are significant and carry meaning for people. That someone should be empty enough to destroy such things? Not acceptable in our society. The idiots who knocked down that formation should be identified and publicly shamed.

You do the crime you do the time. If I had the emotional energy for other peoples bad behavior, this wouldn’t even be on my priority list of how to spend it.

Doesn't matter what the hell it was, they didn't have a right to illegally trespass and destroy something that didn't belong to them. Yup. It's amazing how many people here are clueless as to the significance of destruction of property and vandalism. Hopefully they don't breed.

That borders on insanity.
I just stupidly slammed my fingers in my front door.
Reckon I’d best go get an ax and punish it, now.

Liberals. Sometimes I feel a contempt for them that begins to border on pity...until they open their mouths to trumpet the newest lie or nanny-state initiative...and I blink my eyes and snap back to a contemptuous reality.

There’s a nearby historic attraction called High Rock in PenMar Park.
Really big deal.
It was once the jewel of the elite, from the Roaring Twenties, and on.
Hang gliders launch from it.
Now, every week almost, someone falls off it, either to their death or grave injury.
Why?
Graffiti.
So much graffiti that the rocks are covered in slippery paint.
No one can figure out how to clean it all off, it’s so overwhelming.
In the 80s, when I went there, there was none.
The Clinton Years brought destruction in so many, less obvious ways.
