A California gun shop sees sales of firearms that use bullet buttons to swap magazines sky rocket as new gun laws that will ban those types of weapons looms.

Christopher Lapinski, the operations manager at Last Stand Readiness & Tactical in Sacramento, told Fox 40 Sacramento that he’s seeing more people coming in to buy the gun before the law takes effect.

"The whole anti-gun movement, taking guns from citizens, literally has everyone and their grandmother buying firearms before they can't get them anymore because they want to be able to be protected," Lapinski said.

Since you sent them out of state, has there been any inquiries from the state authorities about the status of them?

It is a button on the mag release that can only be operated by a bullet tip. It is supposed to prevent you from quickly changing a magazine. On an AR it can be removed and replaced in about 2 minutes with no tools.

At least two companies have takedown pin kits that both break the gun open and release the mag. This constitutes a disassembly as required by this bullshit law.

“The magazine eject button is surrounded by a plastic sleeve so your finger can’t get in there. You need a bullet to poke it.”

Plastic? Like that’s gonna slow some psycho down.

Whot a crock-o-shiite. When the laws just get too ridiculous, it's time to ignore them.

Hey, it works for Hillary and the other politirrati. d;^)

“I do remember hearing a police call on the scanner some time after that period, and the dispatcher telling the responding cops that there was an assault weapon registered to that address.”

California DOJ ties gun registration to your California D/L. They can cross reference any contact you have with LE using your DL # to pull up what you have registered to you at least with pistols. I have heard it being done when a gun was found at a traffic stop although there seemed to be an issue over specific SN’s on a pistol at least as far as the inquiry went.

One merely has to fabricate something to stick into the opening that when pushed, releases the magazine.

Since they went out of state before the window closed for registration there would be no record of where they were if they weren't registered as AW. They would have been considered, prior to the Roos/Roberti bill, to be ordinary long arms. California only started tracking long arms in general as of 1/1/2014.

The only problem you would have is if you had interaction with LE in California and a “unregistered” AW was present. That would be major bad mojo. Also you can't bequeath your legally registered AW to to your next of kin. California treats them similarly to the way the ATF treats Class III firearms. Once you pass some will come for it. Nice system./s

I like to watch episodes of the old “Perry Mason” show. Most of them are set in California and of course Los Angeles. I get the distinct impression that it was a nice place to live back then.

I have noticed that they had handgun registration even back then but I could have lived with that. I would not have liked it but could have accepted it.

Now there is no possible way I could live in that state despite there being many beautiful areas.

That’s some close watching if they want to come for your regular guns after you die. And even if you moved them prior to death, im sure The State would not believe you. Thanks for sharing.

Get to know some very old patriots. They buy and register all kinds of guns. You get them unregistered. And you contribute a little to his grandchilds college fund.

Do the same for your children and friends. Buy tons of guns. You pass away. Your guns are at the bottom of that lake boating accident. Your relatives hide unregistered weapons.

Welcome to Texas! Please remember to vote against every candidate endorsed by our lousy Leftist newspapers. The Dallas Morning Snooze just endorsed Hillary today. Were I a Dallas business buying ads, I would cancel my account with this Democrat mouthpiece.

Not since that time (1990’s?) and I escaped the wretched state over ten years ago. They may have mailed something but do not know where I live now.

A little clever filing and a semi auto sear works as a full auto. But that would be illegal and no criminal would ever do that.
