Obama defends Kaepernick’s national anthem protest

President Obama on Monday defended San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision not to stand during the playing of the national anthem.

"[H]e's following his constitutional right to make a statement," Obama said at a press conference in Hangzhou, China, responding to a question about the quarterback. "I think there's a long history of sports figures doing so."

The president added, "I don't doubt his sincerity. I think he cares about some real, legitimate issues that have to be talked about. And if nothing else, he's generated some conversation around some topics that need to be talked about it."

It’s little known but the white guy in that picture got more flack than either of the black power guys did, even though he appears to just be standing there. He didn’t do the black power salute but he did wear a pin that identified his solidarity with the struggle and the Australians were not amused. They blackballed him from the sport. Never competed in another Olympics as a result. And nobody even knows he did it.

Obama has sown the seeds of this dissension his entire Presidency, so of course he is proud of the crop.

We should work harder getting out the word that Kaepernick didn’t start this until he decided to marry leftist muslim Nessa Diab.

Nobody cares. Hating America is fashionable now. The country that would've condemned Kaepernick and wouldn't have spent a thin dime on anything with his name on it ceased to exist a long time ago.

Obama must have applied as a foreign student. Where else could his own literary agents have acquired the “fact,” (according to them ) that he was born in Kenya?

Obama is getting his derrière handed to him in China. So, now the weak kneed POTUS has to change the topic and comment on a BLM tool.

I’m following my Constitutional right to own weapons. The Kenyan needs to get that straight and stand up for gun owners. Damn hypocrite.

I was dumbfounded when this utter jerk was ‘elected’ President a second time.

He wasn't elected. They cheated using lots of money.

The PC’ness of the NFL has already been confirmed in regards to their hostility to First Amendment religious freedom.

Professional sports has shown contempt for freedom of speech and freedom of religion consistently over LGBT issues opposing religious freedom laws, bathroom protections laws etc. etc.

If they say Kaepernick has ‘freedom of speech’ they are big time hypocrites.

In Oklahoma earlier this year, I read of a professional sports team opposing open carry exercise of Second Amendment rights as well.

Our nation is being run by big corporations and big banks who stand behind big sports that charges big money to the little people who want to see their events ‘pricing them out’ anyway.

Kaepernick has no Constitutional Right to free speech as a team representative, nor do any of the rest of us when when we are on duty.

I found out in a hurry as a public school teacher that I had absolutely NO right to free speech. Several principals told me that in a pointed fashion.

Obama and Kaepernick belong to the Half Black/Half White Club whose motto is:
Half Black, Half White, All Moron.

Multi-Millionaire Kaepernick refusing to stand for our NATIONAL ANTHEM is his right.

Here's a Marine, who can't stand, because he defended that right.

I have always thought Obama sounds like an idiot when he goes off script, but he sounded like a total retard in that statement.
