Washington (CNN)CNN's latest Poll of Polls finds Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump has been cut in half, with her post-convention bump wilting in the late-summer heat.

Clinton holds an average of 42% support to Trump's 37% across five nationwide telephone polls conducted between August 9 and 30. That 5-point lead represents a strong starting point for Clinton heading into the fall campaign season, but a CNN Poll of Polls earlier in the month averaging polls conducted in the week after Clinton's convention in Philadelphia found the Democrat ahead by 10 points, 49% to 39%. The shift brings the race back to where it was before the conventions in July. In a CNN Poll of Polls before either convention, Clinton topped Trump by an average of four points.

Politico has this head line, Clinton’s advisers tell her to prep for a landslide
Displaying unchecked confidence, the Democrat’s paid consultants see plenty of paths to the White House.

More BS.

Gary doesn’t have 9%. He has 1-3% at best. This is the thumb on teh scale to keep the “horse race”going.

I can’t believe that 49% of the public ever supported Hillary.

He support ceiling is 42%

Notice the numbers are adding low for Hillary and Trump in a way to probably let the Libertarian and not Green Party in.

This is not a poll. It’s an average of old polls. Useless.

I think much of the voting public is looking for something (anything, really) they can hang their hat on that says Trump is capable and sane, and they will vote for him.

Lucky for us, he is capable and sane. Folks don’t really want to vote for Hildy, but they will if they feel there’s no choice.

Gary doesn’t have 9%.

I don't know about that. There's a bunch of disaffected Bernie voters who hate Hillary. Some of them are going to vote for Trump but most won't. Gary seems a likely alternative for some of them.

Bingo. Many people are "looking at" Gary Johnson, but he's no Ross Perot, just a parking spot while they ponder whether they're throwing their vote away. He is spending a ton of money on radio spots and billboards here in NV. No polls are to be taken seriously until well after Labor Day.

When I see him filling rallys, I’ll believe he’s at 9%.

Undecideds will not expend the effort to vote for Hillary. The decision they are weighing is Trump vs. Stay Home.

The states I predict to go to Hillary are: Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware.

Except for three undecided states, the rest, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Missouri and Georgia, are predicted to go to Trump.

That leaves each with 246 electoral votes (It takes 270 to win). The undecided states are: Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina.

Trump needs to win two of those three, as well as winning all of his predicted states.

Here's a site you can go to and click on each state to run through the various options, including gray for undecided), and see the votes for each side.

If you disagree with my selections (and I might even disagree tomorrow), specify the changes and what undecided states it will take for Trump to win.

i could see this being told to her by her handlers...history has shown clinton is known as someone with a bad temper who acts violently if she’s not told exactly what she wants to hear...
