Libertarian presidential candidate and former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is newly in favor of mandatory vaccination, he says, after learning more about the science of immunization.

In 2011, Johnson tweeted “No to mandatory vaccines,” but asked in an interview with VPR Wednesday about his position, Johnson said he now believes that vaccinations should be mandatory.

When we see the inoculation gun and a barcode strip with the patients name and SSN on it we’ll know its for our own good. A one shot does it all type vaccine for our own good right?

This loon Johnson is no libertarian, no way does he get into the debates let alone 1% of vote.

Gary Johnson received 0.99% of the vote in 2012. I think with all the media pimping he'll beat that, and probably beat the Libertarian Party's high-water mark of 1.06% in presidential elections (won by Ed Clark in 1980).

I can't see Johnson cracking 3% though. No way he does better than Ralph Nader's 2.7% in 2000.

Only the true believer libertardians will vote for Gary as a libertarian.

Hopefully all this backtracking will get him lots of otherwise Hillary votes as well.

Gary is certainly a candidate that #NeverTrump idiots like Kristol could support.

This could be good for Trump.

Who’s going to vote for a goose stepping libertarian? (and his liberal sidekick)

it is interesting,......

the GOP-e is trying to undermine the GOP nominee
everyone including almost all D’s hate Hilliary
so both major candidates are vulnerable

a third party MIGHT HAVE HAD A CHANCE THIS YEAR, but this Johnson guy takes the Lib nomination and BLOWS IT SKYHIGH with crazy leftwing socialistic positions.....

Vote Trump! Stop Hilliary! And don’t fool around with obscure or crazy third party candidates

Ideas so good, they are MANDATORY.

If anyone would hold anyone else down, my family - anyone and forcefully inject them with a questionable chemical then I imagine the rest of their short time on this mortal coil will be spent in screaming agony.

I couldn’t hold off everyone in the world, but I wouldn’t want to be the first 13 people to test my resolve.

Just take the damned blanket ! The blanket is free ! Everyone uses a damned blanket ! Blankets keep you warm ! If you don't cover your kids in a blanket, then you are putting them at risk ! Do you understand how many people die from the cold ? Do you understand that we don't want you dying from the cold ?! TAKE THE BLANKET

If people think vaccinations are so great, then they can get vaccinated and that vaccination should protect them from the germs that not vaccinated people have.

The whole herd vaccinations thing makes zero sense, at all.

I can’t remember the last time I was vaccinated.

I can’t remember the last time I got sick.

I’ve debated science with this before, and that’s a fruitless conversation.

We’re not in a scientific world, you and I.

What it comes down to is this: Should someone recommend, or god forbid DO, hold me or any of my family down and forcibly inject them with anything....

.... The Christmas Spirit. Doesn’t matter....

They have declared war. I know war. I know how war works.

People can have different viewpoints. I wouldn’t even pick up a weapon and kill another person for any reason. Take the guns, take my freedoms, take my voice, take my property.. none of that warrants a lethal response.

This isn’t one of those things. If anyone says that they would take up arms to protect against a mugger, a rapist, a murderer, or an attacker then they should have no problem with this decision. This decision rests comfortably, deep in the pillow of reasons to kill.

“Johnson Now Supports Mandatory Vaccination”

Hmmmm. That doesn’t sound very libertarian to me. I wouldn’t think the word “mandatory” would even be in the lexicon of a TRUE LIBERTARIAN™. But hey, what do I know.
