"Good, maybe that means the end of all of those silly Willy Wonka memes."

Hopefully he’s reunited with Gilda.

That depends on where Gilda is at.

Who would photograph the poor man in that condition?
Seems cruel to me.

Oh, wow. I had no idea he was in his 80’s. He had a rare, strange sort of comedic genius. I’ve enjoyed so many of his performances.

remember the Oompa Loompas?

early test audiences and black activist panicked at the idea that they were actually Africans so they had to paint them blue or something.

it was such a huge hullabaloo that at the time the movie almost was not made only because of the Hang-Ups about the Oompa Loompas.

"His nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83. "

This is somewhat surprising.

If I had been asked to guess, I would have supposed he had been "memed" to death on Facebook.

I thought about that before posting, but I am one of those "true to yourself" kind of guys who sees Dad when he looks in the mirror.

Americans are VERY good at living in fantasyland .... so I posted the picture

Gene Wilder brought Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory to life. Without him, it would never have been the hit that it was. Johnny Depp was just too weird in that character but that was probably due to Tim Burton’s inherent weirdness and direction.
