The United States does not have the capability to engage Iran in a war on land, air or sea, a top Iranian Navy commander charged Saturday night boasting of his nation's military prowess.
"The US doesn't enjoy the power to confront Iran militarily," Iranian media quoted Revolutionary Guards Navy Admiral Ali Fadavi as stating.
The remarks downplaying US power came days after an uptick in tensions between Washington and Tehran due to multiple instances of Iranian vessels encountering US warships in the Persian Gulf's Strait of Hormuz.
Actions by Iranian vessels in several encounters with US warships in the Gulf this week are cause for concern and increase risks of miscalculation, the White House said on Friday.
However, in a speech to volunteer forces Saturday night, Fadavi claimed that Iran has confined the United States's maritime military abilities in the region, according to Iran's Fars news agency.
In his boastful rhetoric, the Revolutionary Guards admiral also asserted that Iranian patrols have deterred US warships from approaching the Islamic Republic's territorial waters for years.

Good, bad or otherwise, I do not remember anybody saying that kind of stuff while Bush was president.
Most of those kind of lowlifes stayed in their holes and remained quiet. One of them, Khaddafy, turned over all of his nuclear material just to get off of Bush’s list.
They'd spew all kinds of nonsense up until we began massing troops along their borders, bringing carrier battle groups in the area in preparation to take’em down a notch.
Even in our weakened military state due to the muzzie in the white house, we could relentlessly pound the Persian infrastructure/military facilities into the dark ages.
Within a few days, Iran's surface navy would become submarines. Why they taunt like this who knows?
It would be at this point that a President Trump would sink their entire surface fleet and announce that is what 1.7 billion buys you these days.
When America is not feared, war is more likely. If it comes it will be fought whether we are ready or not.
We have more power than most of us here think.
I am sure we have stealth and other weapons that most of the public are not even aware of existing.

C’mon... really. They WANT us to respond. They WANT us to react. THINK. Before everyone goes “all nuclear” or “blow them up”. THINK
We have no idea ( as the public) what assets we have in country or observing them.
I used this as an example. I boxed..if I wanted you to lower your right hand, I hook you to the body. After 3-4 times all you have to do is flinch your shoulder and they drop there right hand.... Then I hook to the head and lights out.
Iran and the islamist WANT us to react. Russia WANTS us to react a certain way. China WANTS us to react a certain way. Our “leaders” either have a plan or they don’t, of what WE want to happen and dictate things on our terms.
If Iran develops nuclear delivery system and the Israelis detect a missile launch. I figure that they’ve got EMP weapons set up to basically put the entire region into the time before computers and electronics.
The Koreans now state that they have sub based missiles and we know they have nukes.
What if China and Russia use Korea and Iran as surrogates? How would we react if on one day low yield weapons went off in container ships in LA harbor, Longbeach, Seattle, Tacoma, Savannah, Houston, Charleston, Miami, New York...etc.
Not even low yield..... just fertilizer bombs like the Texas City disaster.

So Hillary acting all butch about killing dictators and pissing Putin off is stupid and Trump yapping about China is stupid. Nobody remembers how it used to be BEFORE the Soviet Union fell and we all thought we could die in 15 minutes. How I had classmates commanding units covering Observation Post Alpha or OP Alpha in the Fulda Gap...and how they knew that they were going to die in a holding action if the Soviets ever put 20 divisions across the German Border.
I’m not smart but I can tell a provocation when I see it. In REAL fights, you never see it coming and it’s never “announced”.
We’ve gotten out the habit of letting our enemies NOT know what we’d do......they just “wake up” dead or sitting in a pile of rubble trying to find their families.
That is a scary person, that is a scary enemy.
So everybody can settle down and pray that the adults are in charge of the situation and that thousands of our men/brothers aren’t killed for BS.

However, if the admiral had phrased it as “The US doesn’t enjoy the *will* to confront Iran militarily”, I’d have to agree (at least under the current administration).
It’s not a lack of power. It’s a lack of will among the country’s leadership, starting right at the top. Trump needs to clean house at the Pentagon. Any admiral or general who has been complicit in the social engineering experiments and appeasement of America’s enemies should be forcibly retired. The rank and file need to know that the brass are on their side and the side of America, not simply angling for a promotion or an invitation to a Washington cocktail party.

What that Iranian General means is that Obama doesn’t have the will to defend Americans.
He’s Pro-Iranian After all.
This will be true if the Trump administration fires Obama's generals and admirals, upgrades military equipment, clears the perverts from the military, and removes women from combat roles. If Trump fails to do that assuming he is elected, we could well lose to Iran.
