I’m reminded of the pre-WWII Low Countries’ diplomats whose pre-invasion meeting determined that their planned, but extensive, defenses were insufficient against the Wehrmacht—and that the Wehrmacht was really France’s problem.

The funny think is that the “velvet Divorce” might turn to a velvet reunion in next 5 years or so, I think.
They just signed a deal about a flyover and the right to shoot down any aircraft deemed unfriendly over both countries. Not even NATO has the same authority.
plus most Ukies politicians don’t not only speak Ukrainian, they do not even hold the country’s passport.
Welcome to “free world.”
Ukraine is a colossal mess and beyond...

Why won’t you say what you would do about it?

I'm a student of WWII history, and know that we can learn from it. The denial attitudes of the Low Countries' Elites accounted for incredible worldwide suffering by minimizing the Nazi threat already poised at the Low Countries' borders.

For an example of denial, Canada was fighting the Nazis TWO YEARS before America was forced to "join-in".

With this current effete, inept, Democrat Party poised to gain another four years of power, we should learn from the past.

Citizens of The Ukraine, however politically flawed, deserve support from the West. Poland borders The Ukraine, and also became a "hell-hole"—no thanks to WWII Allies' denials of Soviet dominance.
